Carl Cravens says: "Great story, enjoyable British humour."
    "Unbelieviable laughter causing story"
    Overall

Terry Prachett is one crazy writter. I can't tell you how many times people stopped and stared at me while I was listening to this book. (Due to uncontrollable laughter at the characters lines.)I view this as my all time favorite type and style of writing. Comedy and Sci-Fi. I can say I got so many laughs from this book that I will continue with the rest of his series. I'm hoping that he continues with the hillarity in the rest of the stories.

Why we think it’s a great listen: How do you one-up a book that’s already a global literary phenomenon? Hire Simon Vance to (flawlessly) interpret the loves, lives, and murders of Sweden’s cold and secret-filled world. A spellbinding amalgam of murder mystery, family saga, love story, and financial intrigue. It's about the disappearance 40 years ago of Harriet Vanger, a young scion of one of the wealthiest families in Sweden.

A great listen. Characters were well flushed out and unpredictable. This book has a great twist at the end, was not expecting. Have a great listen and find out for yourself.

The Colour of Magic, the first novel in Terry Pratchett's wildly imaginative Discworld series, takes the listener on a remarkable journey. The magical planet of Discworld is supported by four massive elephants who stand on the back of the Great A'Tuin, a giant turtle swimming slowly through the mysterious interstellar gulf. An eccentric expedition sets out to explore the planet, encountering dragons who only exist if you believe in them, and of course "The Edge" of the planet.

Joel says: "Start in any of seven Disworld books"
    "Un-deniably Funny"
    Overall

I started this series because I listened to a sample of a book with the #28 on the cover. The story sounded intriguing. Liking to start with the first book in a series to understand the characters I sought out the first book in the Diskworld series. I was not disappointed with the search. I have not laughed so hard listening to a book in a long time. How does one man produce so much comedy in such a short time?

Damaged Portland detective Archie Sheridan spent 10 years tracking Gretchen Lowell, a beautiful serial killer. But in the end, she was the one who caught him. Two years ago, Gretchen kidnapped Archie and tortured him for 10 days, but instead of killing him, she mysteriously decided to let him go.

    Karen says: "Entertaining Listen"
    "No Silence of the Lambs"
    Overall

While this book is a great listen, I don't think that the description or comparing to The Silence of the Lambs really fits. I have to say though that I have and will continue to refer this book as a must read. Characters were well defined. Plot carried itself and made you want to continue the story. Thoroughly enjoyed.
