A corpse discovered in nearly the same situation as that of Marshall Donegal, the patriarch killed in a skirmish just before the Civil War. The characters were interesting, the setting was interesting. It entertained me while I worked in the yard. But it has a tad of "chick flick" thing going. "Chick listen"? Nothing overwhelming and I'd certainly recommend if for sitting on the porch with nothing to do. No real brain power required but sometimes that's exactly what you don't want to exert.

When Marissa is found brutally murdered, with her young daughter, Haley, resting her head on her mother's bloody breast, she sends the idyllic California town of Oak Knoll into a tailspin. Already on edge with the upcoming trial of the See- No-Evil killer, residents are shocked by reports of the crime scene, which might not have been discovered for days had it not been for a chilling 911 call: a small child's voice saying, "My daddy hurt my mommy."

Liked the first, this one as well. I've read the reviews on the 3rd and doesn't sound so good. Then again, "One man's trash ....." so I'll give it a go. Everyone is so happy and in love or on the way to it in this one it will take a jump to carry on. Of course maybe someone else can give attempted murder a shot. Poor Ann. Not a negative since I really enjoyed the book but Ann keeps getting in these spots.

I remember one of the reviewers commenting on the character development as the books go along. I agree 100%. This was much better than the last. Another reviewer commented on following the books in sequence. I agree on that as well. You can indeed enjoy one as a stand alone but I like connecting the dots.

It isn't easy to steal warheads from the heart of Russia's nuclear complex in Mayak. It requires a great deal of money, coordination, ingenuity, and sleight-of-hand, and just a touch of luck. But if you're determined enough, anything is possible.

I enjoy the foundation of a story as much as the next listener but I got a little bogged down in the beginning. The history and foundation of the story is great, to a degree. I like a little more Wells in the story. At least a 60/40. Got into it after a bit after all the middle Eastern portion thinned out. Still worth the listen.

i enjoyed this so much that I turned off the TV and all other distractions to listen. When I work in the yard I pay closer attention to the stories for some reason. Went out yesterday and was totally immersed by the time I came in. Went to sleep listening, got up listening. Hoping the next one is as good.

Characters were easy to relate to ... in the beginning. OMG! What a twisted web we weave ...... I don't care for graphic details but although they were included, not overdone. I don't do book reports so my summation is, listen to it.

I'm really enjoying Dalton Fury and love the characters. This one jumped from one to another to another out the gate for Colt's team. As I listen to the stories it's easy to become attached to the individuals in the team and frustrating when one passes on. This one kicked off with the team landing on an airplane on the runway and just runs from there. I used to sit up late to read and no change with this. Just couldn't unplug and suddenly it's 3:00 AM.

For sports agent Myron Bolitar, the disappearance of a man he once competed against was bringing back memories, of the sport he and Greg Downing had both played and the woman they both loved. Now, among the stars, the wanna-bes, the gamblers, and the groupies, Myron is unraveling the strange, violent ride of a sports hero gone wrong, and coming face-to-face with a past he can't relive, and a present he may not survive.
