I've enjoyed Brad Meltzer's decoded on the history channel and thoroughly enjoyed so figured it's time to listen. Meltzer's story and Scott Brick's performance has me waiting to listen to the next one.

Once in a while this wandered a tad but as much as I enjoyed the book (spooky), hat's off to the narrator. It was a fun, creepy, piece of art. This is one of those books you take a chance on since few of your favorites are available. Good choice for me and if you're up for something out of left field, I say give it a try.

I'm hooked on King and Maxwell and although this was a little slow on the uptake for me, once it got going it was hard to re-charge. My two mandatory listen spots are working in the yard and in the car. As dirt covered and insect repellant drenched as I am when I come in, if the book is good I hate unloading my phone, Kleenex, etc., and especially my MP3. But with this one I found a way to shed all and continue listening. That for me ... is a dadburned good book!

I enjoyed the book but there were a couple of stretches. That however, is true of plenty of authors. I still enjoyed the book but the thing that caught my attention was Armand Schultz. He has a wonderful range. I was so caught up in the story until I realized how authentic he sounded. Never lost the story line but enjoyed it more once I realized what I was missing.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben set huge sales records with last year’s Six Years - and he’s poised to do it again in his next breathtaking stand-alone thriller. Harlan Coben, author of six consecutive instant number-one New York Times best sellers and a total of 24 award-winning, best-selling, and internationally acclaimed novels, returns with another ripped-from-real-life thriller full of impossibly high emotional stakes and the real-to-life characters for which he has become famous.

There was one factor that the terrorists didn’t take into account when they struck the Capitana oil platform off the coast of Colombia - slaughtering much of the crew and blowing up the platform - and that was the Capitana crew chief, Dewey Andreas. Dewey, former Army Ranger and Delta, survives the attack, rescuing as many of his men as possible. But the battle has just begun....

Buried within the black ops budgets of the Department of Defense, a new spy agency has been created. Unfettered by the oversight of self-serving politicians, it reports only to a secret panel of military insiders. Its job is to target Americas enemies - both foreign and domestic - under a charter of three simple words: Find, Fix, and Finish.

The night after the fourth of July, Layton Carlson, Jr., of Red Wing, Minnesota, finally got lucky. And unlucky.

He’d picked the perfect spot to lose his virginity to his girlfriend, an abandoned farmyard in the middle of cornfields: nice, private, and quiet. The only problem was...something smelled bad - like, really bad. He mentioned it to a county deputy he knew, and when the cop took a look, he found a body stuffed down a cistern. And then another, and another. By the time Lucas Davenport was called in, the police were up to 15 bodies and counting.

The last several Sandford books I've read and listened to have been a disappointment to me. This one sounds like someone lit a fire under Sandford and it's the best I've heard from him in a while. I enjoy the Virgil Flowers books, some more than others of course but they just don't have the Davenport kick. Hope this lasts.

Not the best Crais book I've listened to but I didn't put it down. Had to get into this one before I actually enjoyed it but still thought the ending was a bit of a let-down. First book I've read with the bomb focus and that part I found interesting.

    Enjoyable, not a bad book.

Sheriff Walt Longmire had already rounded up a sizable posse of devoted readers when the A&E television series Longmire sent the Wyoming lawman’s popularity skyrocketing. Now, in Any Other Name, Walt is sinking into high-plains winter discontent when his former boss, Lucian Conally, asks him to take on a mercy case in an adjacent county. Detective Gerald Holman is dead and Lucian wants to know what drove his old friend to take his own life.

I've listened to all the Walt Longmire books and I've seen the TV series. The TV series just didn't cut it for me. Maybe it would have been better had I not heard George Guidall but The Cheyenne Nation played football and I'm under the impression that his character is a large man. And who could give a fair depiction of Vic on TV.

Like all the rest, I loved it.

Koontz can be so many things and for some reason I put the "Odd" series aside. Finally had a Netflix night and watched the first. Movies are seldom as good as the book in my experience but glad I did. Moved right on to Brother Odd and thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't know that I would have followed through had I not seen the movie. Gave me a better idea of the environment.
