I enjoy reading Michael Connelly's books and this one was yet another good one. It keeps your interest to the very end, and an unexpected ending to boot!

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

A really god story. Totally different from anything you would expect, and with more twists and turns than a maze.

As a police launch speeds across Miami's Biscayne Bay - with officer Nestor Camacho on board - Tom Wolfe is off and running. Here is a big, panoramic story of the new America, as told by our master chronicler of the way we live now. Based on the same sort of detailed, on-scene, high-energy reporting that powered Tom Wolfe's previous best-selling novels, Back to Blood is another brilliant, spot-on, scrupulous, and often hilarious reckoning with our times.

Richard Delman says: "Too much. Too much. Too much. Too much. Too much."

Listening to this book was a wonderful experience. I grew up in Miami, and the reader and music added to the feeling of local ambiance and flavor. Plus it's a good story. There's no downside!
