This was the 2nd audio book I ever listened to and got me hooked on audio. The story line was interesting, the personal interaction of Susan Spenser and Hawk was funny and warm and gives a first comer to Spenser a good view of the characters. I have since read all of the Spenser series and they are those that I'll read, or listen to, over and over. Just so sorry the run is over. We lost a great writer and philosopher when Mr. Parker left us.
As always with this series, Spenser, Susan and Hawk occupy the favorite positions because of their interacting relationships and the philosophies they convey.
I don't do tag lines
Read all of the Spenser books....I went back and started with the 1st. It was entertaining to grow with the characters.
The story is action packed with the lives of the Karp family being a little more believable than later books. The narrator makes the calamity lol funny. Enjoyed this better by far than any other of the Butch Karp books. Wish James Daniels would narrate more if his books - it would make them far more enjoyable.
tron - always adds spice to these stories
Everything...his delivery of the action, dialogue and scenes are just plain entertaining.
David Rosenfelt's sense of humor and Grover Gardner's deliverance. A great mystery is woven with intelligence, self deprecating humor, an insight into relationships, a good fight for the good guy and, of course, he is a consummate dog lover.
Makes me laugh out loud
Good guy redeemed.
I have listened to all of the Andy Carpenter serires and this one continues to build on a great character, or group of characters, giving the reader an interesting, funny, feel good read. My favorite kind.
Laughed out loud many times
Hope Mr. Rosenfelt keeps it up. Not looking to forwad to Tara getting old....has happened to too many of my pets. But sure he will handle it with grace and wisdom.
