"Google is Everywhere!"
A fascinating and sometimes scary look into the power and depth of whatever Google is really trying to be. The concept of “cloud computing” where files on our personal computers/phones/whatever …no longer exist….” asks us to place all of our trust in a company that appears to mean well ………. that appears to have our best interests at heart – but when and where have we heard all of that before and what were the outcomes?
A great – “should/must read” for all of us who use many of Google’s services on a daily basis.
"The Company Line"
Almost any book on JFK is interesting, this title is no exception as a re-hash of the largely unaccepted but official explanation of Kennedy’s assassination. You could almost be forgiven for thinking that the book must have been commissioned by some branch of the US government.
JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters by James William Douglass is a much more interesting and plausible look at the JFK death and cover-up.
Bill O'Reilly , Martin Dugard might do well to consider taking on a real project; that of explaining to their loyal readers why the research that Douglass claims to have done cannot possibly be verified.
"Audible Should Leave It's Client Base Alone"
Don't ask for a review - trust us to write when we feel like it
Not sure until you list a book that looks interesting
I will contact you when I have something to say
None of the above
Be careful what you ask for as you might receive it.
"It's Not Tom Clancy!"
Peter Telep may have studied all of Clancy's books - if he did, he learned nothing - Against All Enemies is not a Tom Clancy book - other than on the title page. Same for the guy writing for Ludlum, I should have known better.
Audible - look at the reviews! You should consider giving all of us a bonus credit
Clancy is great every time I listen - as long as he wrote it.
To Audible customers who love Tom Clancy - You will HATE this book.
"It Is a Deception"
Jason Bourne may be back, but it's a simple fact that Robert Ludlum is, sadly, no longer with us. Ludlum wrote in a particular style with a predictable, yet enjoyable formula. Ludlum must have taken both his style and formula to the grave as both are clearly missing in this latest attempt to trade on one of Ludlum's best characters.. We may have a great movie script but we definitely have nothing approaching a Robert Ludlum novel. "The Bourne Deception" is much more appropriately named than Van Lustbader could have ever intended.
"Dead Heat"
Take your bible with you when/if you decide to buy this sad - would be - political thriller. If you thought the film about Jesus Camp" was a great film - you will love this book. If you actually understood the message of Jesus Camp - to be a form of child abuse - you will NOT like this book....if I hear one more reference to the war of "gog and maygog"......be saved and pass the pepto!
