New York Times best-selling author Caroline Myss draws from her years as a medical intuitive to show that healing is not only physical, it is also a mystical phenomenon that transcends reason. Inspired by ordinary people who overcame a wide array of physical and psychological ailments - from rheumatoid arthritis to cancer - Caroline dove into the works of the great mystics to gain a deeper understanding of healing's spiritual underpinnings.

We always want to know the answer to all WHY questions, she does a good job telling us that we will never really know why God does things. Her voice is awesome really motherly and educated, her warmth comes true and sincere.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Got 40 hours to kill? You’ll find the time when you start listening to Lee’s take on Follett’s epic – and widely celebrated – novel of 12th-century England. The Pillars of the Earth tells the story of Philip, prior of Kingsbridge, a devout and resourceful monk driven to build the greatest Gothic cathedral the world has known...of Tom, the mason who becomes his architect - a man divided in his soul...and of the beautiful, elusive Lady Aliena, haunted by a secret shame....

I was looking for something similar to Kitchen House, the best story ever told, however it has been difficult to get into......after the author went on and on about being in love with ancient structures he thought of making a story to confirm his love for these structures. After knowing that, it felt like the story came "secondhand". As if he just came up with the story as an after thought, as if he had no love for it, as if was done half-hearted. It made the stories less important. I felt this way because of my passion for Kitchen House, it was created out of substance and passion, not half-hearts.
