Cold Vengeance was better, but if you enjoyed that how can you not finish the story with Two Graves. Not as good, but still entertaining and completes the story.

Based in part on Dickens's own life, it is the story of a young man's journey from an unhappy and impoverished childhood to the discovery of his vocation as a successful novelist. Among its gloriously vivid cast of characters, he e.ncounters his tyrannical stepfather, Mr. Murdstone; his formidable aunt, Betsey Trotwood; the eternally humble yet treacherous Uriah Heep; the frivolous, enchanting Dora; and one of literature's great comic creations, the magnificently impecunious Mr. Micawber.

I agree with Joan, this is an awesome book. It was a huge surprise to me that I liked it. This was unexpected pleasure. I only tried after reading after seeing so many good reviews. This is a true classic – stands the test of time.

Nora Kelly, a young archaeologist in Santa Fe, receives a letter written 16 years ago, yet mysteriously mailed only recently. In it her father, long believed dead, hints at a fantastic discovery that will make him famous and rich - the lost city of an ancient civilization that suddenly vanished a thousand years ago. Now Nora is leading an expedition into a harsh, remote corner of Utah's canyon country, but what she unearths will be the newest of horrors.

A lot of good deal and description but a little lacking in excitement, the second half gets better. I didn't find this story captivating.

A lot of reviews mention the ending. I liked the ending, it had a redeeming quality and the author's end notes were helpful, keep listening. I enjoyed book two best, but if you enjoyed the first two books it's well worth finishing the series.

Macbeth: A Novel brings the intricacy and grit of the historical thriller to Shakespeare’s tale of political intrigue, treachery, and murder. In this full-length novel written exclusively for audio, authors A. J. Hartley and David Hewson rethink literature’s most infamous married couple, grounding them in a medieval Scotland whose military and political upheavals are as stark and dramatic as the landscape in which they are played.

I felt like I was taking a big risk with this book. I’ve never liked Shakespeare plays on TV and didn’t like reading them in high school. After reading the reviews and listening to the preview, I decided to risk a credit. Glad I did! This book features an excellent narration and a great, well written story. No boring moments, lots of detailed action and a bit of interesting history. This book is a rare gem!

Devastated by the discovery that his wife, Helen, was murdered, Special Agent Pendergast must have retribution. But revenge is not simple. As he stalks his wife's betrayers-a chase that takes him from the wild moors of Scotland to the bustling streets of New York City and the darkest bayous of Louisiana - he is also forced to dig further into Helen's past. And he is stunned to learn that Helen may have been a collaborator in her own murder.

I enjoyed Cold Vengeance. They did a good job of presenting a book without crazy and imaginary monsters. I’m glad I took Rebecca’s advice and waited for the second part of this book to be published, Two Graves. This is the better half of a whole book, but you need both books to complete the story.

The powerful sense of evil – darkness, creepy hairy presences, cloaks, hoods, talons and tentacles – pervades these classic ghost stories by M.R. James. A Cambridge scholar himself, James explored what happens when academics dabble in things they don’t understand and unleash forces of which they know nothing.

Audible asked me to provide my opinion of this book for the benefit of other listeners. I hope you heed my warning. Do not download this book. The book is boring. It will be a waste of your time and money. The stories are not scary. They are long tedious stores that lack appeal to both children and adults. My recommendation is to pass this one up. Title sounds promising but the content is terrible.
