Being from Mississippi, I am very aware of "southern" books that are not very southern. Nora Roberts did a wonderful job with Mississippi words and everyday phrases. Her description of the area is also spot on.
In the beginning when Della was scolding the Longstreet children. Most southerners have grown up with a much loved "Della" in their lives. Mine was Arlena and the Della character reminded me of my youth.
He is awesome! A wonderful narrator.
Not sure, but Delta would be somewhere in the title. The MS Delta is a very rare and wonderful place to visit.
Tucker Longstreet is my favorite character and a typical southern gentleman.
Michael Conelly's choice of characters is superb! The narrator amazes with all the character voices. I hated for this book to end.
I was hesitant to buy this book after reading the reviews. I'm glad I did, it's a great read. The author didn't feel compelled to insert a "greAt romance".
Probably. Everyone deserves a second chance. Jake Weber was great. He did a very good job of distinguishing each character.
None. They were all good.
I really enjoyed the book and the characters, but the story went nowhere.
Wow, it is very close to the top. Great plot twists and story line. This book kept me on the edge. Envy will keep me reading future Sandra Brown books.
Parker Evans. I loved his wit.
He is great with changing the character voices.
There were numerous great lines in the book. Any would work.
I am from the deep south and Victor
Slezak needs to get a better handle on the southern dialect.
It has a wonderful story line.
Oh yes. I never quite knew which character was the bad guy.
Yes, all the Sieg Larrsen books. His narration is the best.
It was very suspenseful
I really enjoyed this book. It is wonderfully suspenseful and never predictable.
I can't say with out ruining the book for others.
I will read other Karen Robards books.
Great NOLA listen.
When Mary Catherine was in the hotel looking for her beau.
No. She is one of the best I've heard with southern dialect. I'm from the south, so I appreciated her performance.
Panties or pie, you can't beat French Silk
This was my first Sandra Brown book, but won''t be my last.
Typical Patricia Cornwell. The story line is wonderful, but "super Lucy" irks me in all her books. Thanks goodness she had a minmal part in this book.
The relationship between The GA medical examiner and Kay. Colin was a true southern gentleman.
no too dramatic
Not really. I enjoyed it, but could put it down and pickup where I left off.
This book is one of my favorite audiobooks.
All the historical twists in the plot.
Rosalyn Landor's preformance is marvelous. Her ability to change voices for each character is uncanny.
