In the fourth installment of The Dark Tower, Roland and his band have narrowly escaped the city of Lud and boarded Blaine, a train that will take them to, of all places, Kansas, where the ghost city of Topeka has been depopulated by a superflu and where, alongside Interstate 70, an emerald palace rises enchantingly. Before Roland and the companions of his ka-tet continue along the Path of the Beam, Roland must tell his companions the tale that defines him both as a man and hero.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you're reading the Dark Tower series, you know this is the 4th book. Unlike the other 3, this book has a different focus. It is a story of love and friendship. Through this book we learn much more about the past of Roland Deschain, the last gunslinger. Stephen King does not typically do romance novels, but he does so brilliantly here, capturing the essence and infatuation that comes with young love. This is a gut-wrenching novel, one that will move you if you invest yourself fully in the story and characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wizard and Glass?

The bar scene with Cuthbert, Alain, and Roland was great!

What about Frank Muller’s performance did you like?

Frank Muller's deep and raspy voice provides a perfect tone to the story. I was skeptical of his ability to portray female characters, such as Susan Delgado, but he did so admirably in this outing.

If you could rename Wizard and Glass, what would you call it?

    The Gunslinger's Past
