Behind the Dark tower and the Shining.. this is my favorite King book. I was hooked all the way through.
This was very engaging and kept me entertained but it's one of those stories that don't really have a story ark. It was good but there is no real goal the characters are striving for. And it definately shoodNOT BE UNDER HORROR!!!! Just because it had "demons" in it does not make it scary.
These stories are always great but the sound quality of this is pitiful.
Every time I wine about lengthy setups I wonder if I would like the book and characters without it. If you are going through the Dark Tower books, check this one out before the Wolves of the Calla. You'll thank me. Loved this book. It must have been a real feat to reimagine an icon like the vampire and not be cheezy.
I LOVE the Dark Tower books. This book is where it either gets too weird for you or it absolutely pulls you in and holds you. I can't explain without giving away the plot. What I will say is that if you have made it this far in the DT then your gonna love it.
The production value was over the top great. Unfortunately I found the story sci-fi cheezy and boring. Evidently I am in the minority on this one but I thought the story was complete crap.
