In his bravest and most challenging book yet, Seth Godin shows how we can thrive in an economy that rewards art, not compliance. He explains why true innovators focus on trust, remarkability, leadership, and stories that spread. And he makes a passionate argument for why you should be treating your work as art. Art is not a gene or a specific talent. It's an attitude, available to anyone who has a vision that others don't, and the guts to do something about it.

    Story

A good meditation on the shift of paradigm the world is going through. Sort of a Hot, Flat, and Crowded from the perspective of creativity. Of course, those who are most creative have always pushed the edge of change in every field, Godin joins the chorus of voices pointing out that that is one of the most valuable qualities to have in the information age and throws down the gauntlet for the life creative.

What if you could learn the ultimate teachings of Tibetan Buddhism as they were meant to be received - guided every step of the way by an experienced master? This practice, known as Mahamudra or "The Great Revelation", was once taught only to elite students in secluded monasteries and cloisters. Now Dr. Reginald Ray has created an unprecedented audio learning course to make this profoundly transformative path available to listeners everywhere, with Mahamudra for the Modern World.

I have practiced for some time in another tradition. I have since moved on from that particular path and have been looking for something re-spark my connection to inner work. I am only interested in something that brings direct experience and not layered with other prerequisites or leaps of faith that contradict common sense and verifiable experience. I have been listening to this series and am only about a fifth of the way through but have found it to be all that I have been looking for and more. Ray is direct, humble, knowledgeable, sincere, and articulate in his delivery. I have indeed found my fire to be rekindled. Thanks.
I saw another review asking about a tracks list, I don't have an answer to that but something I found helpful was the Audible app in my iPhone allowed me to bookmark places and add a note. So, for example, I could bookmark the place where the vase breathing technique is described, label it, and go back to the exact spot whenever I want.

In 1967, Bashir Al-Khayri, a Palestinian 25-year-old, made a long-imagined journey to what is now the city of Ramle in Israel, with the goal of seeing the beloved old stone house, with the lemon tree behind it that his father had planted, that he and his family had fled 19 years earlier. To his surprise, when he found the house and rang the bell, a young woman welcomed him in.

This book served as a more in-depth review of the events related to the conflict than I had knowledge of, while at the same time giving ground level, personal accounts from two people intimately tied to the history and each other.

Spiritually minded? Want to start the new year with an uplifting read? Then this may be for you. The stories and writings of a wide spectrum of sages, saints, and so-forth make up the body of this work. Read effectively by a variety of voices, different genders, various ages. I was reminded of the "work" of some inspiring beings and learned of some I have never heard of. I'm glad I stumbled upon this one, it has helped shape a good start to 2012 for me.
