There's art and there's craft. Monet and macrame. This is more like macrame. I mean, this is the life of one of the greatest men who ever lived. The subject deserves a great telling. This wasn't it.

I didn't read the print version of the novel, but I have no doubt that the audio version is richer by far what with the performer's outstanding inflection and dead-on accurate accents. Masterful. The whole experience was thrilling, right down to the superb ending.
