""Inward"?"
Really enjoyed the history of Starbucks and the business acumen that Howard brings to this company. But the book is written for Wall Street or competitors and as a great business case study on a truly remarkable turnaround, but it's difficult for the average reader to get through. Mr. Schultz is a great marketer, and this book proves it. He is a great CEO, and this book proves it. He is more comfortable with boardroom speak than developing characters, plot, scene, and story . . . and this book proves it.
Still, as a Seattle entrepreneur with a small business, I learned a lot. I enjoyed it most on a business level.
"Good story and light business advice"
This was an easy listen, and very memorable.
I appreciate the fact that he speaks openly about his shortcomings and his successes.
"Good info, but sometimes a little tricky to follow"
I really appreciate the information here, and have already started seening a benefit in my business. But the writing style is a littly heady, and I backed up a number of times to make sure I understood the points. I wish George would include more of his personal stories to illustrate all of the main points because those were the most powerful and easiest to remember in this audio format. There were some, but I want more. Is that a deal, George?
Yes.
