Zoe is used to taking care of herself and has long ago accepted that if anything bad was going to happen, it was going to happen to her. So when she loses her job over something most bosses would probably be happy with and her life starts going down hill from there she doesn't expect it to get any better. She certainly didn't expect any help from the loud jerk next door, but then again she has nothing to lose so puts her trust in him and hopes for the best.

Playing house was never so much fun - or so confusing. With her boss on an extended honeymoon, Caroline’s working crazy-long hours to keep the interior design company running - especially since she’s also the lead designer for the renovation of a gorgeous old hotel. And with Simon, her hotshot photographer boyfriend, gallivanting all over the world for his job, the couple is heavy-duty into "absence makes the heart grow fonder" mode. No complaints about the great reunion sex, though!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I really enjoyed listening to Wallbanger and was so excited to purchase this book. What a disappointment! The storyline, or lack of, was so boring I finally had to quit listening.

Would you be willing to try another one of Heather Smith’s performances?

    Sure

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

frustration, boredom, disappointment and upset that I wasted a credit.

As rains swell the Mississippi, the mighty river threatens to burst its banks and engulf everything in its path, including federal revenue agent Ted Ingersoll and his partner, Ham Johnson. Arriving in the tiny hamlet of Hobnob, Mississippi, to investigate the disappearance of two fellow agents who'd been on the trail of a local bootlegger, they are astonished to find a baby boy abandoned in the middle of a crime scene. Being confronted on the beach by a sexy stranger wasn't part of Natalie Conner's plans for a peaceful morning taking photos. And why on earth would he think she's taking pictures of him, anyway? Who is he? One thing’s for sure, he’s hot, and incredibly romantic, feeding Natalie’s wounded soul.

What would have made Come Away with Me better?

was so hoping I'd like this series but it's so flat .......

What could Kristen Proby have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

her voice is fine but she's purely reading; no character - maybe it's just the writing but there's no character in this book; purely flat

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jennifer Mack?

no character; the narrator's voice is fine but the story is so flat. I want more character and twist. 'baby' just doesn't do it for me.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    nope

In 2009, Susannah Cahalan woke up in a strange hospital room strapped to a bed, under guard, and unable to move or speak. Her medical records - from a month-long hospital stay of which she had no memory - reported psychosis, violence, and dangerous instability. Yet, only weeks earlier she had been a healthy, ambitious twenty-four-year-old, six months into her first serious relationship and a sparkling career as a cub reporter

If you could sum up Brain on Fire in three words, what would they be?

    Scary, detailed, interesting

What other book might you compare Brain on Fire to and why?

Can't think of a comparison of a book I've listened to other than "The Rosie Project". Both books give you insight into living life with brains wired differently or altered.

Which character – as performed by Heather Henderson – was your favorite?

    Susannah

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Pure astonishment that this could happen to a person living a typical, "normal"life.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Apparently, many folks don't feel the same way I do about the narration due to the reviews. So, I guess if you sample the book and the narration doesn't bother you, you may like it. I I I Just couldn't listen. The squeaky narration just does not go with the content. Not the voice for romantic or sexy.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Wished I could find a good story with a good story and narration. They seem to be far and few between.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

    Ugh! I just couldn't listen.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. Narration not right for the content.

Sweet, shy Mara Hanover is in love with her neighbor. For four years, she has secretly watched her dream man from afar. Handsome police detective Mitch Lawson is way out of her league. She's a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, and there's no way a guy like Mitch would want anything to do with her. But when Mara has a leaky faucet that she can't fix, it's Mitch who comes to her rescue.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

There are a lot of positive reviews for this book so I guess those that really enjoyed other Kristen Ashley books may enjoy it.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Not sure. Gotta search

What didn’t you like about Kate Russell’s performance?

The story may have been better with a different narrator. The narrator was just too young, flat and naive sounding. The story seemed to drag.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Law Man?

Couldn't listen long enough to find a scene I would remove.

Where does The Unidentified Redhead rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of my top listens. I just love Alice Clayton's humor.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Jack and Grace of course!

Which character – as performed by Keili Lefkovitz – was your favorite?

    Grace

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Laughed a lot.

    Any additional comments?

This book is just as fun and sexy as her other book 'Wallbanger'. I fully enjoyed the light story line and the bantering between Jack and Grace. Can't wait to listen to the other 2 in this series.
