A small slice of history that is very interesting and informative. The author is not just a good historian, but a good writer as I was glued to the book until I finished it.
Yes. History told balanced with fictional and entertaining characters
The build up and the development of the characters were great, however, their influence on the finale failed a bit. I think that keeps this book from becoming an all time classic.
I thought the book would be on proverbs, such as "never let a crisis go to waste". Instead, it is all about cliche words, God, church, and Christ!!!
I found nothing original in this book other than your stereotypical "do this, don't do that" management advice given in a very unstructured way.
