"not for everyone, especially me"
after listening to a Nora Roberts book, i now get all kinds of romance recommendations from Audible. i didn't realize "Envy" is just that. i can't stand anything about it. same old formula - brooding law-enforcement/bad-boy - with a paranormal twist.
i don't like the narrator at all.
no
disappointment. i thought it would be a good story, not romance formula.
"a gift from Audible on Thanksgiving!"
i loved this book of audio essays. i've listened to it three times, and a fourth time together with my sweet husband.
oh, so many...laughter and tears in one book! i'd have to say the cousins who talked about their strict sunday school teacher was hilarious! and the Korean mother who told her daughter how she got her culturally undemonstrative husband to show affection told of a very broad-minded woman.i could go on, but won't - buy it, i guarantee you'll be inspired.
all of the people being interviewed.
listen to this book with someone you love.
"i really, really really hated this book"
oh god never
that she thought there was a story
if i hear "holy crap" valley-girl style one more time i will hit myself in the head with a hammer.
there weren't any scenes, per se. so - moot point.
is the writer married to someone famous because i don't know how this book got so hyped.
maddening narration, implausible story line and tedious sex scenes. i took the other books in the series off my wish list pronto.
"i am now a total Jeanette Walls fan!"
what a story!
i liked that Lilly's second husband, Jim Smith, was such a decent hard-working guy.
there is an honesty in her voice. she is extremely pleasing to listen to.
Lilly - Grandma Smith. what a character!
read both of Jeanette books
"Best books in YEARS"
i love the story and i love Jeanette's voice and her narration! read her book
Jeanette because of her tenacity and fairness.
i listened to
all of it.
such a good story and writing. i didn't want it to end.
"more enjoyable with the DVD"
it was ok to just listen to - but most of the enjoyment is seeing what Dick Proenneke sees.
Dick's euphemisms and wit.
