Its so well written and read, the story is so gritty and intriguing. It educated and fasinated and entertained me. I cant recommend it enough. Really great, I was so sad when I finished it.
The main one, Cally. Also Desdemona. Its so well dramatized.
The accients, the drama of it all. Its just perfect.
Desdemona. She is old and wise and flawed and she needs to get out of bed.
Its the best book that Ive listened to so far. LOVED it. The reading was as good as the writing.
the mix of history, science and the story about the race itself was really well done. It was personal and universal. Deeply interesting topic on so many levels.
How motivating it was for my own running. I now fully believe I can run my first marathon in Nov. I also like parts about the history and science of running. Also the insight into the top runners in the field.
He was great. Nothing to crazy stands out but it was overall very well read.
It made me laugh sometimes, never cry but really it was amazing. I was so sad when it ended.
I really recommend this book.
It was all so slow, the narration and the story. I found myself wishing that the virgins would kill themselves sooner. Terrible but true. I was disappointed because I absolutely loved Middlesex.
he read it too slowly
I dont know, but I imagine it would be. You get the proper pronunciation of the names and things
His perspective on how he made it all happen.
the images of where he grew up.
drinking out of the swimming pool. Too many others to mention.
This is a really great experience. Educational, interesting and compelling.
The narration was really good. The story is really good. Its a great experience. You really care for him.
Learning about religions, and when found the land. Also the floating island. The lightening hitting the water.

Picturing the whole scene, the landscape, the experience of being there.
When he shot a rhino
No. It was good, slightly boring because it was all about one hunting trip but it is what it is and Im glad I listened to it. Its interesting.
If you like Hemmingway you will like it.
Educational, Engrossing, Captivating
It is well read.
Well there is alot to it so you wouldnt take it all in, so no. But I loved it. I kept thinking about it and looking forward to listening again.
I really recommend this book
Maybe by Catherine Claire Larson, but not by Bahni Turnpin. The narration was so distracting that I couldnt see past it.
I didnt get that far, had to quit.
Anyone. She spoke too slowly and dragged out words unnaturally. The worst part was that she put on Rwandan accents when she quoted Rwandans but she didnt ham it up when she quoted American men or other people. I couldnt listen to it. It also seemed overly sentimental in the reading. Very unnatural tones.
I couldnt finish listening even though I was in Rwanda at the time and wanted to learn more.
It was good to hear her perspective on her own life. It is short and simple book, more like an essay than a book. Its interesting, its just doesnt feel as worth while as so many other books on here.
The tone was a bit dull. Sometimes you could really tell when she was happy.
Yes because its short.
There is not much to this book. Maybe a good first read or if you already know alot about her.
