In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology, Robert Langdon, is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces: Dante’s Inferno. Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science. Drawing from Dante’s dark epic poem, Langdon races to find answers and decide whom to trust...before the world is irrevocably altered.

Would you consider the audio edition of Inferno to be better than the print version?

Did not read the print version, so I cannot compare

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot at times became very tedious, seemed to bog down.

Which character – as performed by Paul Michael – was your favorite?

    Robert Langdon

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me think about the true premise of the book.

    Any additional comments?

Spent way to much time giving very detailed descriptions of places and things, move it along. I found the ending to be slightly confusing with no real conclusion.

New York Times best-selling author James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux novels began with this first hard-hitting entry in the series. In The Neon Rain, Detective Robicheaux fishes a prostitute's corpse from a New Orleans bayou and finds that no one, not even the law, cares about a dead hooker.

    S. Sand says: "The perfect combination of author and narrator"
    "A must listen!"

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Would definitely recommend, this book just draws you into the story. The descriptions of New Orleans almost let you smell the food!

    Any additional comments?

Listen to this novel it will absolutely amaze you. Hard to believe that only one performer did all of the voices!

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Suzanne says: "The scare is in the human nature under stress."
"A wonderful story, can't wait for the TV version!"

Where does Under the Dome rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is by far one of the best audiobooks so far.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Under the Dome?

    The ending

What about Raul Esparza’s performance did you like?

Made it seem real, like you were actually there

    Any additional comments?

As in all of the audiobooks I find it slightly anoying that the male performers try to mimick female voices. I would like to hear an actual female performing the female lines!
