"LOVED THIS BOOK!!"
Yes, LOVED the language, the era, understanding how people lived in that period in America. He twists and turns the plot where you really don't know where it will go.
Loved the Indian experience.
I truly believe I would not have enjoyed this near as much if I had physically read it myself. Mr. Ballerini made the experience come to life. Wonderful performance.
I love the subtle and eloquent funny scenes, particularly the scene and later reference to the guy "being less than affectionate" with his horse! Hysterical!
Already read "The Queen of Bedham" and plan to read all the Corbett series. I also can't wait to read his other books!
"Reads like an afterschool special"
Yes
Of course
No particular scene, I do think he did a good job of feeling like you're in the mind of a young boy.
The story was fine, just written for a young reader.
"Very entertaing story, hated the ending!"
I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, the storyline, I looked forward to listening to it everyday right up to the end. The end was a huge disappointment, very dismal and depressing to see what his idea of the future was.
H A T E D IT!!!!! So many other ways he could've gone. It was like watching all those episodes of LOST, and then watching the final episode and they didn't tie up anything. NO, it was worse than that. It seemed very political, I'm not that cynical.
Yes, he was very good.
It would be a great movie, CHANGE THE END!
"Absolutely LOVED THIS STORY!!"
I LOVED that they tell you something in the beginning, and I couldn't wait to see when and how and why that came about. I work in healthcare, and I loved that you see the world through an elderly man's eyes. This book should be listened to or read by anyone working with older people, they all have a story and are people first!
Loved the anticipation of how it flashed back and forth from the young man to the old.
I don't think I would have enjoyed this book nearly as much if I had read it myself. The old man's voice was perfect, just loved him!
A love story
I will look for more books by this author.
"Predictable"
I kept expecting a twist or turn, but it didn't come.
I'm looking for more Lisa Gardner books.
I listen while exercising, so I wouldn't have read it.
No particular character. It was interesting, just predictable.
"Very entertaining, good listen!"
Yes, but I don't usually listen to something twice.
Charlene Rosalyn Carter Grant :)
Yes
The little boy, Jesse, was well written. It sounded like a little boy thinking and talking. I appreciate that it wasn't too graphic as well.
This was my first Lisa Gardner book, I will look for more.
