"I was looking for more insight"
This book was not what I was looking for as it relates to Asperger's, The author tells his life story as a person with Asperger's, but I found very little actual information on Asperger's through out the book. I wanted more personal information on how an Aspergian thinks, feels, and why they act they way they do. The beginning of the book gave me some of this insight, how as a child he acted and reacted, but then there wasn't much more information that I was looking for. I am happy for the author that he is a success in the music industry, I was just wanting more specific information on Asperger's.
"Loved it and anxious for the rest of the story"
I listened to Divergent, and immediately after finishing it I started Insurgent. It starts off right where Divergent left off, and goes full speed the entire book. Tris and Four are great characters, and I enjoyed their high stress relationship. My only complaint is that it ended, and I still have questions. I want more.
"Good insight into the thoughts of an Autistic pers"
I enjoyed this book, and learned a lot about Autism and how and why Autistic people think and act the way they do. I also learned a lot about cattle. Temples's life and success in her career, in spite of and because of her Autism, was amazing to learn about, and my admiration for her grew after learning more about her struggles.
"One of my favorite books, and author."
This is such a good story, intersecting four main characters, their personal struggles and their need for each other. It is about personal relationships, love, maturity, growth, change, coyotes, and so much more. I loved all the characters and was lonesome for them when the book ended. The story is in many ways simple but at the same time complex. It is about personal growth and changes in each of the characters, how differences in us make us unique and can bring us together. I also liked the author's narration. She has a slow pace which fits the story well. And, I always love Barbara Kingsolvers books, She has a great gift for story and words that bring the story and characters to life.
"I'm glad it wasn't a long book"
Probably not. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. I wasn't ever caught up in the "suspense" and never really connected to the characters. I thought it was sort of boring.
Maybe
Probably not. There are so many other narrators that are so much better
Not really.
