Hell on earth. That’s what it’s like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel. It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts - immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans. Daniel hasn’t told her everything. He’s hiding something - something dangerous.

What made the experience of listening to Torment the most enjoyable?

It is fun and fantasy no reality it lets me disconnect from the troubles of my life. I am a romantic and thinking that everything will work out in the end is what I want.

What other book might you compare Torment to and why?

Of course Twilight and City of Bones

    Which scene was your favorite?

The final battle at then end when Luce decides that she might love Daniel but she needs to find herself first.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No it didn't make me cry or laugh but I did worry for the lives of some of my fav characters.

    Any additional comments?

Just listen and loose yourself from your worries, like your dead end job, partner with cancer, house that needs to be vacumed, lawn to mow, weeds to pull. Escape!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Scarlet to be better than the print version?

Probably I don't get a lot of time to sit down and read this is more a book I would listen to as I chores

What other book might you compare Scarlet to and why?

It is like the Hunger Games series a girl having to realise that there is more to life than her life and you need to stand up

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favourite scenes are with Lin Cinder & Thorn he is such a Han Solo type character but not in a copy cat way. I also like the Cinder & Iko dynamic especially the last scene and the there last conversation.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No it was just a story.

    Any additional comments?

I didn't really like the Scarlett & Wolf relationship it was too intense too soon.

Used to the technologically advanced, if violently harsh, conditions of the prison, Finn is now forced to obey the rules of Protocol, which require all people to live without technology. To Finn, Outside is just a prison of another kind, especially when Claudia, the daughter of the prison’s warden, declares Finn the lost heir to the throne.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Don't know I felt like it was trying to be the Hunger Games. Incarceron was interesting and the only reason I purchased this was to find out what happened it the end. Nothing happened in the end.

Would you ever listen to anything by Catherine Fisher again?

Probably not unless I saw good reviews about it.

How could the performance have been better?

The story could have been better I didn't like the main characters I like the supporting characters.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Confusions who did she really love?

    Any additional comments?

That religious stuff in it was stupid and when the teacher turned into sapphique it was dumb
