"Whatever it takes.". That was Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's vow as the worst financial panic in more than 50 years gripped the world and he struggled to avoid the once unthinkable: a repeat of the Great Depression. Brilliant but temperamentally cautious, Bernanke researched and wrote about the causes of the Depression during his career as an academic. Then when thrust into a role as one of the most important people in the world, he was compelled to boldness by circumstances he never anticipated.

Very Informative and not partisan. Dan Worens narration was fabulous. His voice is very pleasing to the ear. He changes tone when quoting making him him a pleasure to listen to. Thank you Audible.

The Law was originally published as a pamphlet in French in 1850 by Frederic Bastiat. It is his most famous work and was written two years after the third French Revolution of 1848. It defines, through development, a just system of laws and then demonstrates how such law facilitates a free society. Bastiat was a French classical liberal theorist, political economist, and member of the French assembly.

Idiots can't be identified through voting records, they can be found only by looking for people who hide behind stereotypes, embrace partisanship, and believe that bumper-sticker slogans are a substitute for common sense. If you know someone who fits the bill, then Arguing with Idiots will help you silence them once and for all with the ultimate weapon: the truth.

WOW! This book is great. I get very angry if a book is all about the left or right point of view. I like when the Author uses facts, humor and common sense. He keeps it interesting throughout the whole book. He makes the facts easy to understand and interesting.

Glen Beck, the number-one New York Times best-selling author and popular radio and television host, revisits Thomas Paine's Common Sense with one purpose: to galvanize Americans to see past government's easy solutions, two-part monopoly, and illogical methods, and take back our great country.

I was worried I may be getting into some Republican right wing book but it is not at all! He even calls for a 3rd party in parts of this book. I am so impressed with him. To be honest, Ron Paul has been teaching the same constitutional ideologies for years. Oh, and you get a free copy of Thomas Paine's book "Common Sense" inside! I had just bought that audio book and didn't know it was included.

    Overall

This book was great and kept me interested the whole time. You can feel the fire in his voice from just gaining a nation and his excitement about the potential America has. The way he speaks and the beliefs and values they had is the reason we are now a great nation. Unfortunately our apathy and entitlement attitude make us just a hollow shell of the people who existed then.

In The Revolution, Texas congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul has exposed the core truths behind everything threatening America, from the real reasons behind the collapse of the dollar and the looming financial crisis, to terrorism and the loss of our precious civil liberties. In this book, Ron Paul provides answers to questions that few even dare to ask.

    Overall

This is an American must have. No lengthy boring stories. I have a short attention span and this whole book kept my interest and really informed me on many American facts and how our policies are affecting the world.

If you want to be an informed voter, an activist or want to talk intelligently at a political gathering you must read/listen to this book. No brainwashing, just good broad spectrum of information.

Many Democrats and Republicans get into a groupthink position and never think outside the box. It is unfortunate that the Constitution of the United States is a new cool concept. Special interest groups have driven us so far away from the original Constitution that it is becoming nothing but a blur.

We need to take a look at our baseline again.

This book is not a left or right agenda book but an individual's book, an American book.

Just as we were getting used to the Information Age, Daniel Pink tells us that it is ending. With it goes our focus on charts, statistics, and linear thinking. Traditional "left-brain" activities, like logic, analysis, and repetitive production, are being turned over to robots, computers, and offshore labor. The valued skills of the 21st Century will be those of the right brain: empathy, design, synthesis, and contextual thinking.

Joao Coelho says: "A good reminder of the book"
    "Very Good"
    Overall

I wish there were more audio books about the left brain but this is the only one. At least it is good. I am left handed and always devalued and suppressed my right brain ideas. I'm going to start letting them show. I shouldn't care so much what people think.
