I use audiobooks as means of an escape from reality. Nice to just relax with a book. Ienjoy a very eclectic array of genres...anywhere from chick lit romance to mystery to science ft. Just a common mother of three.

But when mega-famous cover model Derek Calavicci puts the moves on her at a romance writers’ conference, she almost succumbs to temptation. Common sense prevails, however, and she puts a stop to the proceedings before they’ve barely started, leaving her aching with desire and Derek completely intrigued.

Would you try another book from Nicole McCaffrey and/or Teri Glenn?

Yes I would try another, the plot was simple but nice. It was worth the cost.

What other book might you compare The Model Man to and why?

    Any other love story.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Teri Glenn?

Probably not another romance. She was decent.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Not sure a little more depth.

Where does Matched rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

You say slow, I say it mad me feel like I was there. This is one of my favorite books, I will probably read again, and I never read books more than once.

What other book might you compare Matched to and why?

Require. The selection. Same type of world. They are all good to me. Matched series was probably my favorite though.

What does Kate Simses bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Matched the main character perfect. Clear difference in tone between different characters.

    Any additional comments?

Loved it, highly recommend, though not for everyone.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I actually am going against all others and saying this book was the best of the series. This whole series was slow and lacked a direct purpose. I did enjoy it, but just enough to get the next book. Not as memorable as others in this genre.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Thought was good, not what I wanted, but good.

What aspect of Emma Galvin and Aaron Stanford ’s performance would you have changed?

    Good, both of them.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I read the first book, a modern witch, and really enjoyed it. A good light read, so thought I would like this one, but no, just was really lacking, not too mention that I just hate technically computer lingo. Big boring snore. Story did not flow well.

Has A Hidden Witch turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes. I have yet to find a great witch book. I will eventually try again.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She was good, it was not the narrator that made me give up.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Hidden Witch?

All the coding and take out, well just a weird storyline, have to change a lot.

    Any additional comments?

    Just too blah for me.

What made the experience of listening to The Selection the most enjoyable?

Fast moving, light yet intense at times. The elite was great too. Girls/women that like dystopian novels with much romance this was it. Sweet and witty.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All well created characters, some more redeeming than others.

What about Amy Rubinate’s performance did you like?

She's pretty good, not my favorite, but in the top 10 narrator's for me, and I have hundreds of audio books.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I probably could have, but I'm somewhat an addict of audiobooks!

    Any additional comments?

Still waiting on the final book! Would recommend.

What made the experience of listening to Fragments the most enjoyable?

I love Julia Whelan. I have a medical background so this was not at all slow for me. The twists and turns, just when you think you know what's going on, just great. This world is just frighteningly real. Possible. Just so good. I haven't written many reviews lately but I really enjoyed this! A whole lot better than divergent series, in my opinion.

Who was your favorite character and why?

SO MANY GOOD ONES! Love. Sam, kira, heron(for some reason)...oh my efah was such a hilarious character, off much.

Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I love to check out her books, worst case scenario you get a well performed story. She's great.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did, when it ended, I know it was a great book when you are just in shock and crazy the Tories go through your head, and that's all you can think about for hours. Also left feeling empty, like a breakup.

    Any additional comments?

I usually prefer women authors for these types of books because their relationships are usually stronger, but Dan Wells really hit all emotion spot on! I will definitely be checking out any new books. Last thought, I am 32, so this was pretty mature, not whiny or childish. Loved it. Cannot wait for Ruins.

Cassie Forrest isn't surprised to learn that the day she’s decided to get her life together is also the day the world ends. After all, she’s been on a self-imposed losing streak since her survivalist parents died: she’s stopped painting, broken off her engagement to Adrian and dated a real jerk. Rectifying her mistakes has to wait, however, because Cassie and her friends have just enough time to escape Brooklyn for her parents’ cabin before Bornavirus LX turns them into zombies, too.

What did you love best about Until the End of the World?

The likable characters, the room to grow on the story. Good opening book, to be honest I'm more excited about the next book then I am about this o me. I finally got immersed in this one wh e n it ended.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really like Nel, loved John and of course the heroine. John is the glue that makes the story stick. Nel is just funny and oddly strong for a gay man...but good that way.

What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?

I love JULIA, she is one of my favorites, she is actually how I found this book. I'm always looking at my favorite authors favorite narrators New books.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not at first, but like I said give it a few chapters and it really grows on you.

    Any additional comments?

Hope the next comes out soon.

Would you try another book from Deborah Harkness and/or Jennifer Ikeda?

I might try one if it is shorter and better story line.

Would you recommend A Discovery of Witches to your friends? Why or why not?

I would not recommend this book! I was 8 hours in and never left the first scene, the pace was just so slow I thought i would never get to the plot or climax. Zzzzzz

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jennifer Ikeda?

She was ok...didnt make the book any better. She sounded like an elderly lady playing a 30ish character.

What character would you cut from A Discovery of Witches?

The main character, she was such a prude and so darn uptight.

What made the experience of listening to Virgin River the most enjoyable?

This book was very good. The characters were so easy to love. Easy going and keeps your interest as long as you like romance. There was just enough suspense that made me buy the next book...I really loved the book.

What other book might you compare Virgin River to and why?

This has a Nicolas sparks feel to it.

Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I had not but I have since.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes but that would ruin the book!!!!! lol
