Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, 16-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people's thoughts, and know a person's life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school - but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste.

Would you try another book from Alyson Noel and/or Katie Schorr?

Maybe. I didn't feel the need to hurry and download the second book, so that means something. I really liked Katie Schorr, though.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

See that's the thing. It's not that I had issues with it, but I just didn't love it. It was just ok.

Have you listened to any of Katie Schorr’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, strong performance as well. Realistic voices without terrible accents. Good inflections and intentions.

    Any additional comments?

I did really enjoy the relationship between Ever and her sister Riley.

A girl who believes trust can be misplaced, promises are made to be broken, and loyalty is an illusion. A boy who believes truth is relative, lies can mask unbearable pain, and guilt is eternal. Will what they find in each other validate their conclusions, or disprove them all?

Where does Easy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    It's up there.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes indeed. Luckily I have a job where I am able to do that.

    Any additional comments?

Some heavy subject manner that was handled well. A witty, wonderful heroine, and a seriously dreamy knight in shining armor. And even better, she saved him right back. I highly recommend this book.

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Obviously it is Jane! She is so funny! I love her humor.

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great voices, all different. Also great timing.

    Any additional comments?

Well it's a silly concept and a silly book, right? There's nothing wrong with that! I had just finished a rather heavy book and needed a good laugh, and that is exactly what I got. So that is great! I do have to say that I say the ending coming from the get-go, but other than that, I loved it!

London is used to relying on reminder notes and a trusted friend to get through the day, but things get complicated when a new boy at school enters the picture.

Performance artists Caleb and Camille Fang dedicated themselves to making great art. But when an artist's work lies in subverting normality, it can be difficult to raise well-adjusted children. Just ask Buster and Annie Fang. For as long as they can remember, they starred (unwillingly) in their parents' madcap pieces. But now that they are grown up, the chaos of their childhood has made it difficult to cope with life outside the fishbowl of their parents' strange world.

Would you listen to The Family Fang again? Why?

Yes, but not for some time. I had a very difficult time with the family reunion at the end.

What other book might you compare The Family Fang to and why?

Not a book, but a movie. The Family Fang is very similar to Wes Anderson's "The Royal Tennenbaums." The themes are very similar, that oddball humor that I LOVE, the overall wackadoo tone. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Oh man, the "Kill All Parents" performance art scene had me almost driving off the road because I couldn't stop laughing! SO good!

If you could take any character from The Family Fang out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Let's change the question. How about, if I could punch any character from The Family Fang in the face, who would it be? Answer: CALEB. And then I'd go find Camille and punch her in the face. And then I'd call it art. Seriously, not just the worst parents ever, but how about worst people ever! SO self absorbed and truth be told, cruel. Ooo they made me mad. Here's the thing. I LOVE the idea of performance art. Of course not all of the projects were winners. But there was a lot of fun in the art. Making it a family affair is great. And family should come first. But the idea of "the only thing that matters is art," really pisses me off. I won't go into details so I don't spoil anything, but let me say that the "final project" made me livid, stunned, hurt. Good writing, by the way. I felt like I was being told the details of the project in person.

VERY happy I got this book! I LOVED IT!

Belle Jamison is finally starting to feel like a normal girl again. What did you love best about Twice as Hot?

    Sassy Belle. She's so wonderful.

Which character – as performed by Jessica Almasy – was your favorite?

Oh all of them. They are all so separate, they don't blend together, I think that is SO important!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was getting pretty chocked up when Belle was interrogating Rome. I don't know how she kept it together!

    Any additional comments?

I wanted more Tanner! A minor critique would be that style of writing where everything is wrapped up neatly in a pretty little bow, i.e. everyone ends up together. So and so didn't get the guy, but she got another guy, etc. But all in all, a great book! Sorry to see it end.

Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival.

I'm stunned. I just finished the book and all I can say is, "Wow, that is messed up." I liked the book, but I can't think of how to word it. It was disturbing, that is FOR SURE. Terrifying look at the end of days. Terrifying.

If you could sum up Playing with Fire in three words, what would they be?

    Give me more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Playing with Fire?

The first meeting of Belle and Tanner. Could not stop laughing!

What does Jessica Almasy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her Belle is feisty. Her Tanner is goofy. Her Rome is smoldering. Her Lexis is exotic. These are all very different characters and she articulated that beautifully with her voicing. I was very pleased!

    Any additional comments?

This reminded me so much of the Paranormalcy series! I loved that series too! Looking forward to book 2!

Would you listen to A Long, Long Sleep again? Why?

It would have to be a long time from now. My emotional response to this book is still too raw.

What did you like best about this story?

The opportunity to make amends, say goodbye, come to terms with truth. I also appreciated the flashback scenes.

Have you listened to any of Angela Dawe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but I thought she did great!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Did I want to? No, it was making me so sad! Could I turn it off? No, and I tried! I listened to this book in almost one sitting. And cried A LOT.

    Any additional comments?

I didn't rate the story 5 stars because I found myself irritated with how little self worth Rose had. One can only hear so much self loathing. However, as the story progresses, you understand why. The villians. It was their fault and they should have been punished. I won't go into details, but I do highly recommend this book. It's a lovely, haunting, and heartbreaking story with hope at the end, and that makes all the difference.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes. I would have had an editor do a better job. It was far too long.

Which character – as performed by Jennifer Ikeda – was your favorite?

They were all fine. But it was odd that she would slip characters before that character was done speaking. For example, Conde Trevino would be talking, and wham, there's the Elisa voice. However, it was still Conde Trevino's words. It was very confusing. There was a director involved, they should have caught this.

    Any additional comments?

Just not exciting enough for me. It could have been though. Too long. Needed more action.
