  • Remember When (includes 'Big Jack': In Death, Book 17.5)

    • UNABRIDGED (16 hrs and 16 mins)
    • By Nora Roberts, J. D. Robb
    • Narrated By Susan Ericksen
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Laine Tavish is an ordinary woman living an ordinary life in the small town of Angel's Gap, Maryland, as the proprietor of Remember When, an antique treasures and gift shop. At least, that's what everyone in Angel's Gap thinks. They have no idea that she used to be Elaine O'Hara, daughter of the notorious con man Big Jack O'Hara. Or that she grew up moving from place to place, one step ahead of the law.

I've purchased every In Death book audible has available. I love Susan Ericksen as Eve Dallas. As much as I like the books I would not purchase this one unless you have not listened to Big Jack. If you have read or listened to Big Jack that's all part 2 is. Part 1 is a decent story in itself. It's just the prequel to Big Jack and has nothing to do with Eve and the rest of the gang. So, I've now purchased the same story twice.

  • I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas

    • UNABRIDGED (3 hrs and 43 mins)
    • By Molly Harper
    • Narrated By Amanda Ronconi

It's Christmas in Half-Moon Hollow and newly turned vampire Iris Scanlon-Calix wants to make Gigi's first visit home from college as normal and special as possible. It's taken months for Iris to work up the nerve to spend time around her baby sister after her vampire transition, so she enlists help from Jane Jameson and Company to keep her blood-thirst under control and assure Gigi's safety. Gigi, on the other hand, has problems of her own, including the demise of her relationship with high school sweetheart, Ben, and a looming job interview with Ophelia Lambert, the scariest potential employer in the Hollow.

    AudioAddict says: "Clever Christmas Cheer!"
    "We Want More!"

While I could go on and on about what a great author Molly Harper is. How great the story line was. How Amanda Ronconi is the perfect voice for Harpers work. How great is was to read about characters in Half Moon Hollow. I'll just say....It's FREE why would you not grab this as fast as you can and educate yourself on why this is one of the best author/narrator duos in audible today.

If your a fan of Molly Harper well.... I know you already took advantage and finished it in one afternoon anyway.

Now, where is the third installment of the Blue Grass series and another Half Moon Hollow book? They just don't come out fast enough.

  • Rise of the Gryphon: The Belador Code, Book 4

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs)
    • By Sherrilyn Kenyon, Dianna Love
    • Narrated By Stephen R. Thorne
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

As an Alterant who fights everything from trolls to demons, Evalle has lived as an outcast among the Beladors, but can now change all that... and find answers to her origins as well. Those answers and a traitor hide within the Medb coven, an enemy poised to destroy the mortal world and all that Evalle holds dear. While her best friends Tzader and Quinn want to help, they have their own conflicts and face unthinkable choices as relationships with the women they love twist in unexpected directions.

Linda Wiliams says: "great story; bad narration!"
"Say NO to audio!! BUY the BOOK!!"

I really wanted to listen to this book and notice a difference in narration and not think much of it.

I'd say "It's ok, no Holter Graham but it'll do. The writing is still the same and the narrarator takes nothing from the story."

    Boy was I wrong!!

If you are a faithful follower you know Holter Graham usually narrarates the series. You will also know he is having health issues. Those of us who follow him are praying for him and his family at this time. He is definitley missed in this audio.

I understand we the public want the books out immediately and are very impatient. However, I cannot tell any faithful listener to waste a credit. This is just horrible. I couldn't finish the book. I've already started reading it over on my kindle.

  • Destined: House of Night Series, Book 9

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 44 mins)
    • By P. C. Cast, Kristin Cast
    • Narrated By Caitlin Davies
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Zoey is finally home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side, and preparing to face off against Neferet - which would be a whole lot easier if the High Counsel saw the ex-High Priestess for what she really is. Kalona has released his hold on Rephaim, and, through Nyx's gift of a human form, Rephaim and Stevie Rae are finally able to be together - if he can truly walk the path of the Goddess and stay free of his father's shadow.

Jamie says: "Destined to keep you guessing..."
"Destined to make us wait for the other three"

I want to start by saying I Love this series!!

However, had I known that they were going to go through four narrarators whom do not sound the same. Go from a six book series to twelve I would have never bought these on audible.

This series is so fast paced you can't get bored! If you haven't read from the beginning you will be lost. A lot of authors put so much back story into sequals you feel as if you don't need to read them to know what's going on. Not in this series. One book will end and the next picks up the next day and if you don't remember you may need to go back and catch back up in between release dates.

I feel as all of these books are good in their own right. Destined is no different.

It's a great short story. I think this one is just better read and not listened too. The narrarator has voiced the last three books I believe. In this book it's hard to decipher her voices to the characters. I believe the first book she narrorated she tried to sound more like the past narrorators with individual voices to the characters. This time she got lazy in parts and you cannot decipher which character you are listening too. That was awful.

I don't think you can describe the book without giving too much away. But, if you are a fan of the not give up. We only have to wait for three more books to finally come to a conclusion. As with all of the others, things are changing again and there are a few new characters added and a death as well. And of course it ends right when you think something good can finally happen for the gang.
