Overall I thought the story was good. What irritated me was the lead female character being represented as emotionally weak at times even though the character is a world class rock climber.
"Epic"
Massively intricate world with well developed characters.
That's impossible, at least for me.
This series has a lot of characters that are hard to keep straight at first. I've read the book twice before getting the audio version so I knew who was who.

I've read it before, wanted to listen to it to prepare me for other books in the series.
This is a good book, and the books in the series get even better. Shinn is a very imaginative writer.
