A very good read. Great ideas and very well written. A thinking persons book. One of the very few I will listen to again.
I have followed this series for many years - one of my favorites. The story line did change but it is still enjoyable. The narrator is awful, he seems to stop at the end of a line not the end of a sentence. His inflections are totally wrong for the actions at hand. I LOVE the books Rollins writes. He has started another series and unfortunately this narrator narrates- I will dust off my library card and read the book.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed quirky and the writer really made the personalities come through. I could not stop this book for wanting to get more listen in.
I highly recommend for a different type of book that brings fresh air into a si fi read.
This book had consistency. It was predictable with no intrigue that kept the reader hooked- and it didn't get any better. I became bored with the monotony of the writing. Obviously the product of mass writing. I have read some very good Nora Roberts books that kept me tuned in but this was not one of them. Narrator gave the best performance she probably could with the material given.
Jim Gorant is a skilled writer who brings this story to heart. With such writing the listener can not only see but feel the emotions of the little red dog. The researched information adds integrity to the story- educating as well as entertaining. Unfortunately, it is a very sad story for dog lovers such as my husband and myself- and we did not complete the audio story. Garcia did a wonderful job of narration and was easy to listen to.
