Simultaneous story lines, nobody does it better than Scott Brick. Steve Berry has written another winner, entertaining all the way though.
The details and descriptions are very good. However the story gets lost in the minutiae. This book needs your undivided attention, ok for the plane if you are not the pilot, not good for the driver when commuting. It wasn't what I expected; I've struggled my way through it. Nine hours and thirty minutes lost.
A multi continent thriller. The detail was excellent. Hated to turn it off at the end of my commute.
I generally love history reads but this was painful. I use audible to pass the time while traveling and actually turned this off several times from frustration. Lots of detail with some of it repeated. An abridged version might be the way to go on this one. I liked the backgrounds of Travis, Houston, Austin, etc. You'll need to be a real Texas history buff to enjoy this one!
