When an unexpected inheritance elevates her family to the ranks of the aristocracy, Amelia Hathaway discovers that tending to her younger sisters and wayward brother was easy compared to navigating the intricacies of the ton. Even more challenging: the attraction she feels for the tall, dark, and dangerously handsome Cam Rohan.

If you could sum up Mine Till Midnight in three words, what would they be?

    GREAT LOVE STORY

Who was your favorite character and why?

Amelia, because putting family first ahead of her own happiness, not many would do that

What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?

I loved all her voices, they were very compelling and it made the story more compelling and wanted to hear more

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There wasn't one specific one, there were so many moving points throughout the book that it would be hard to choose just one

    Any additional comments?

Loved this book and will listen to others in the series, hope they will be just as enjoyable

This was a fantastic story, the twists and turns were just incredible. I made sure to do things in which I could occupy myself to keep listening. What more can you ask for when love, betrayal, scandal and misunderstandings that are done properly make a great book. Can't complain about the narration, was great!

One of the best books I have listened to this year.

I read the book first and I found it very intriguing, listening to it gives it a different perspective especially when the narrator puts voices to the characters.
Was a great story, totally not what I was expecting which is what I like about books and makes it even better in the audio version when the story is narrated well (like it was done here).

I hope the other book in the series is in done in audio as well.

I have to say I was not disappointed by this 2nd installment. The only thing is I have to wait a long time for the 3rd one to come out ugh!!!
Only negative thing to say is the sex scenes were more graphically explicit than the 1st installment, made me cringe a little but it didn't hurt the story overall.
The book itself continues on from the first and it is soooo good from beginning to end...I just don't like that it ends on a cliffhanger again and I will have to wait so long for the next installment.
It just goes to show that if you have a good thing going in your life, don't mess it up with secrets and lies because eventually it will catch up. I hated the main character in the first installment (her type) and I'm glad she got everything she deserved, and in the 2nd I started to like her but then in the back of my mind I still hated. I'll be real interested in seeing how things turn out for her in the 3rd one.
Overall the 2nd one has its share of the usual plot twists going on. Just like I said with the 1st book, that this is one of the best African-American based books that I have read or listened to in a good long time.

Got this book on a discount and gave it a chance...OMG, can't believe that this book would turn out as good as it did, and the wicked thing is that the end of the book leaves a cliffhanger so you have to get the next book in the series to find out what happens next!
I couldn't stop listening, I walked an extra 2 hrs just to keep listening because it was just too good and I didn't want to stay in one place and get sleepy. Reminds me so much of daytime soap story lines (except this one goes alot quicker), with secrets, lies, deception along with lots of hot sex mixed in. Wish this story could turn into a TV series....it needs to go on!
This is the best urban based book I have read in a long time, this author did a good job with the story and the narrator did a good job with the voices, the inflection and all the attitudes of the characters. I felt like I was listening to episodes of some of the urban shows (with the language) and I couldn't stop laughing and kept going OOOOOH when something bad was going down!

I read the book first before getting it on audio and in my opinion, this is the best Highlander based story that I have read or listened to.
Both books in the series are good! I really loved this one, it was so heartwarming and delightful to listen to. When you listen to the narration, you get a sense of what the characters face as opposed to just reading it. I found this story so enjoyable just because it gives you that perspective of so many different emotions that take place.
It was good to read a story with a romance appeal (not just lots of sex) and it made me cry too when I read it the first time, then again when I listened!
I just hope that more books come out of this series with some of the other characters.

The surprising news that dashing steward Harrison Tolly, illegitimate son of the Earl of Ashwood, is the rightful heir to his father’s estate comes at a most inopportune time. This is one of the top 5 books that I have listened to. I happened to get the 3rd book from this series and I wanted to know what happened next and I loved what I heard!
From beginning to end, this book keeps you interested, you think you know what will happen when something totally different happens and that is the kind of book I like.
The narration is on point, pulls you in, makes you sad, angry, happy and satisfied at different points of story. The length was good, it didn't feel like it was that long and makes you want to have more story, more time.
You cannot not go wrong with this book: love, hate, struggle, temptation, betrayal, all the makings of a great story!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it was a good story, kept me entertained. The fact the characters are from different ends of society and their personalities clash so much makes it more an enjoyable story.

What other book might you compare It Happened One Autumn to and why?

Any book where 2 people from different classes are attracted to each other. No one expects them to be together based on status but in the end they overcome the odds.

What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?

Love her performance. I don't the story would be as entertaining if it was read on its own. Her voices really bring the emotions of the books. She is the best narrator I have listened to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Brits can't get enough of the Americans

    Any additional comments?

The first 2 books of this series has been pleasant and enjoyable to read. Can't wait to listen to the rest and I hope they keep me just as interested

Where does Highland Surrender rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the more intriguing books I have listened to

What was one of the most memorable moments of Highland Surrender?

The revelations between the two families

What does Sarah Coomes bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The accents. At first it was annoying, but as the story went on I got used to it and it didn't bother me that much. It actually made the story more compelling and entertaining

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Scottish Hatfield and McCoys in an unforgettable battle

    Any additional comments?

Not a fan of Scottish novels, wouldn't have read it otherwise. Was a good listen and the plot twists were surprising. If you can tolerate the accents, you should enjoy the story alot.
