A very interesting history of the great train heist of the Civil War, and The detail backgrounds of the people involved. Pinchot is an excellent reader. What happened to each of them long after the event, is just as interesting. This event was the reason that the Metal of Honor was created, and the politics involved explains why such a the most were actually handed out during the civil war, than any other war. It is so exclusive now. A very good, enjoyable read.
One of the most enjoyable and interesting non-fiction books I have ever listened too. If you have ANY interest in Area 51 and the rumours about it, this is an absolute must read. It details everything-atomic testing, spy planes, drones, Roswell, and how each was developed and used-and all the politics and deliberate mis-information attached to each. What, Why, and How they do so many things there, that will amaze, and disturb you.
yes I would. One of Robinsons very best books, and I've listened/read all. Very good, and current, storyline that makes you think. It is taken to what I consider the only logical conclusion. very well written
The plot did keep you on the edge of your seat simply because of the possiblity , certainly in todays political and legal environment, of there interference in what obviously needed to be done.
I had never heard him before, but i liked his narrative, and would listento others of his. He put the emotion need in front of you
several extreme reactions. laughing at the stupidity and selfrightiousness of the polictions---and crying for the same reasons!!!! He has totally captured the real mindset of what these crazies really want, and intend to do to all of us.
Anyone who doubts what these zealots intend to do here--regardless of how long it takes them, should read this book.
would not, unless they knew the real subject. This is NOT about Pearl Harbor, but the politics in late December in Washington. It also poorly connected the events described.
Book just trails off on a certain date
Narrator was just ok, could have made it more interesting.
not really. as a pacific war history buff, I just moved on.
