"Should have paid attention"
No. This was $4.95 special purchase, but I should have paid attention to the narrator. Brenda Jackson is ok, but the narrator, Madison Vaughn, is so awful, it's painful to listen to her. I speeded up the pace, which helped, but the delivery is too stagey, with too many breathey, emotional pauses. Very irritating.
Yes, if the narrator was different.
A totally different narrator.
No.
"Hate, hate, hate, the narrator"
better narration
Maybe. The story, what I could stand to listen to, was cute.
Better inflection. The narrator seemed like she was trying to make this a comedy.
none
no
"Good Story, poor narrator"
I greatly disliked the narrator. I have listened to the previous books in this series and enjoyed them, and got this one without looking at the reviews and listening to a sample. Bad, bad decision. The narrator made everyone sound like whiny old ladies, even the male characters.
No way.
Many times I have listened to a book that wasn't that great a story just because the narration would so good. In this case, I didn't get beyond the first chapter before I stopped. I'll have to get this in ebook form and read it now. A waste of a good credit.
"Wonderful, as usual"
yes, great narration, good story line, quick pace
yes
I have listened to all the Ceepak books, and I really enjoy the narrator, and the storylines, Extremely entertaining.
"Enjoyed the Book, found the narrator annoying"
Once is enough. Although I enjoyed the story, and there were some LOL moments, the narrator just doesn't have the magic.
"Narrator is awful"
I would try another book from Alexander, but never from Cardy.
I've liked other books by this author.
NO, NO, NO!
"Not a good narration"
I've found the only way to listen to this particular narrator is to speed up the playback, from normal to faster. This brings the narrator up to a normal speed. Otherwise, the pace is too measured, too slow, and too excruciating to listen to.
"Male audience only"
I stupidly purchased two of these 'quickies'; big mistake. Both of the storie I listened to were definitely male fantasies.
"Male audience only"
I think to find this story tantalizing and erotic, you would have to be male. The male dominant/female submission theme was little too much for me.
"Eye rolling bad dialogue"
Awful narrator, silly, silly dialogue. When I realized I was rolling my eyes almost every time the characters spoke, I had to stop. Really, really wish I had not purchased this on.
