first the book has the worst narration of any audio book i have listened to. second the book is in the style of a textbook and dry to the touch. it is often difficult to follow from section to section as a result. i hope there are better choices to listen to on the topic even the academic infor is there.
this is a story which could be great, however the audio format is not the best way to experience it. the book would be so much beter if there were maps and some pictures to go along with the text. just cant substitute for that with this audio in my opinion. well done for what is possible in this format.
i have read alot of war stories and survival stories and this is among the very best. it is a wonderful story of human resilience and strength. a thriller. would recommend to anyone who likes these kinds of stories. wish i had it in hardback too. narration is among the best
