There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book is too contrived and silly. Just plain silly. The author attempts a combination of horror and sci fi but it just didn't work for me. There are a lot of REALLY good books out there and this is not one of them. I was sucked into it by the reviews.

What could Peter Clines have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Based on this book, I will not read another Peter Clines book.

What aspect of Ray Porter’s performance would you have changed?

The performance was well done but alas the story was not.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment.

More than a million listeners have thrilled to Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the can't-stop-listening work of nonfiction about the shocking assassination that changed the course of American history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you a baby boomer, you will love this book. I thought the authors provided us with a balanced, fascinating view of the Kennedy presidency.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

We all know the end of the story but it was still incredibly moving and sad.

Adam Chase has spent the last five years in New York City trying to erase his worst memories and the scorn and abandonment of his family. Then a phone call from his best friend awakens in him a torrent of emotion and pain. Having left North Carolina and its red soil for good, he never thought returning would be easy - and being remembered as a murderer doesn't help much.

If you could sum up Down River in three words, what would they be?

    A great read!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It's been a while since I read it but it was well written and the character development was very good!
