"Action Packed!"
This is a great fantasy book, even for someone who is not a fan of the game or of Blizzard.
Garrosh Hellscream. Even though e is the bad guy he is still a simply evil character and sometimes a bad guy makes the entire book.
The battle scene that was the true climax of the book, won't go into detail but it gets graphic.
Yes, I went thru it very quickly and had a simply great time enjoying it.
Definitely a must listen for WoW fans.
"Decent But Just Didn't Hit The Mark"
I enjoyed the lore but the detail was a little too much, it actually took away from the pacing of the story.
The characters involved were very memorable from the lore, the detail about the odd enemy took away from it.
Stormrage was a great character, hence the basis for him to be the main character.
Once again, I felt like this was a bit of a miss in the series and was much happier with Knaak's Wolfheart.
Check out the other World of Warcraft related books they were much better showings.
"Awesome"
Action packed with a great driving story line that keeps you enjoying the story. You don't need to be a fan of the game to enjoy this listen.
Tychus Findlay, the definition of a bad ass in every aspect of the word.
He is amazing, he embodies the characters perfectly. Even down to the most hardened marine!
Expendable Three (pre-movie production)
Highly suggested.
"Fan of the Series Will Enjoy"
I'd recommend this to a person who has played the game otherwise it might be a little to focused on WoW to be a enjoyable fantasy book.
The battle scenes are well described and exciting with the narrating actor's influence.
No I haven't, but I'd like to after this one.
I did find myself looking for excuses to listen more.
WoW fans will love it.
"Hot Pocket!"
YES! You need to hear it from Jim's mouth otherwise your just wasting your time, this is why I love Audible services!
Once again, Hot Pockets!
This might be one of the best stand up recordings of the year it was released. It's like the Irish version of Chris Rock's Bigger, Louder, Blacker.
Ever thought Hot Pockets were funny? You will now!
If you loved this check out King Baby. Brilliant!
"Laugh Out Loud, that is all"
Jim has created his own niche and there is no other comedian out there with his voice and sound, he stands out as one of the best in the country today.
His stories about his family, makes me want to both get and avoid getting married and starting a family.
He does funny voices that are very simple but they still get me smiling everytime!
Funny Person.
Check this out and then listen to Beyond The Pale. All I can say is "hot pockets".
"A True Comedian That Will Be Missed"
It's near the top, not only was Greg one of the smartest comedians out there (a Harvard law school graduate) but one of the sharpest comedians. He was one of those people the community will miss.
Greg, main and only actor and he steals the show everytime.
His inflection, his real thoughts, his voice that breaths life into his own jokes. Just wouldn't be the same if someone else was doing it.
It wouldn't be fair to one of his last recording to pick just one part, the whole thing moved me.
If you love good, raunchy, smart and sharp humor you will listen to this more than once. A true classic.
"Hard to Sleepwalk While Laughing!"
Of course, he has reached a level of awkwardness that makes him so funny and relatable!
How he turns personal tragedy into some of the funniest material out there. I hope that one day I can weave my stories in the same fashion.
Think of your worst night terror and then make someone laugh at your pain, genius.
I enjoyed the stories involving his brother, I was moved to laughter. This was a common occurrence, I'm very happy to say.
Check out his My Secret Public Journal, you'll thank me later.
"My Sides Hurt!"
Hell yes! He was flawless and if he isn't already one of the best comics in the country he should be. I'm sure people will see true talent and go out and see this gentleman!
His story that the CD is named after. Won't give any of it anyway but it will stick with you.
Same one that involves the title, the way he describes it and sets the scene, is perfect. He's someone to take notes on.
Laugh and very hard and very often.
Check out his other stand up, called the Top Part. Another great recording.
"Men of Outstanding Courage"
It was very hardcore and gritty, the words were graphic and left you feeling what they were going thru!
The start of the book involving a leech and a certain soldier, made me cringe....Going to leave it at that.
Grit, he can reach that deep gravely tone of voice that some of these hardened soldiers were probably like back then after being in the jungles for months on end.
True Grit.
Not for the faint of heart but an amazing tail.
