They were just kids when they stumbled upon the horror of their hometown. Now, as adults, none of them can withstand the force that has drawn them all back to Derry, Maine, to face the nightmare without end, and the evil without a name.

    "Classically horrifying, and stuning narration"

Steven Weber provides a wonderful voice to King's giant cast of characters. He conveys appropriate emotion at appropriate points, without ever becoming a distraction. Wonderful narrator; I hope he does more work!

  • The Lightning Thief: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 1

Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself.

    Teddy says: "Fun KIDS Book"
    "Great story...poor narration"
    Overall

I made it through this presentation because the story was fun. But the narration saddens me - just because the story is told in first-person, doesn't mean that the narrator needs to act out the story. It's a common failing of audio presentations of children's/YA books.
