"Compelling History"
I am finishing the final volume of this wonderful history. I drive about an hour per day and more often than not, I regret the end of my journey because there is so much more story to listen to. Masterful work! My thanks to the author and narrator for a job very well done.
"Wow, wonderful old memories rekindled!"
Yes I recommend this book, especially to baseball fans. I read this book when I was young in the early 70's, and now enjoying it once again with the perspective of time made it a wonderful treat to listen to.
Normally, I don't care for an author reading their own material, but this book turns out to be the exception. Bouton does a mavelous job of narrating his own work.
"Excellent story"
The narrator, Richard Ferrone, did an exceptional job. He is the narrator for the John Sanford "Prey" series, and as usual brought an excellent story to life with his voice.
The author did a masterful job of weaving history and what "might have happened" into a spellbinding story.
Ferrone is very professional and his voice is alive and excited. He has the ability to bring the characters to life. Very well done.
"Compelling story"
Strongly recommend
The author put flesh and bone on a massively important historical figure. He writes a compelling story.
His narrative is alive, compassionate and easy to listen to.
yes
Well written, well read - great story.
"Masterfully told story"
The narrator, Gerard Doyle, once again did a wonderful job of delivering the story. He is a true professional.
I've only listened to the Eregon series. Mr. Doyle is, without question, one of the finest narrators I've ever listened to. I've been an Audible subscriber for almost 10 years now.
The escape from chain bondage.
The author's mastery of the English language is a joy to listen to. He skillfully uses a wide range of English words, which simply enhance the story and make it richer. I am looking forward to his future efforts. This four book series was well worth the cost, and paid off in many hours of
"Throughly enjoyed this tale"
This is an excellent and well written tale of the old West. The naration is exceptional. Highly recommend this story.
"The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest"
I walk a treadmill for a half an hour each morning. These three books have made the time just fly by. Larsson & Vance provided me with a masterful performance that caught my imagination and captured my attention like few other books have. Great works!!! Five stars for both author and narrator.
