The audio version is way better because the performance is amazing.
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. They both have a seriously psycho character. Both who deserve punishment but may never get it.
Grandville was my favorite. The things that would come out of his mouth was so crazy and funny at the same time. A woman's worst nightmare.
Fatal Attraction looks like child's play compared to this.
This book is worth the money. It makes you laugh, mad and shocks you. The book is very graphic. Some of the graphic talk could have been toned down. It was not needed to make the point. Also didn't like how it ended. It is to be continued. There were no answers.
This was the longest, most repetitive, non climatic book I have listened to. And not a good follow up to A Time to Kill. The book was 20 hours. I would have liked to have known more about Seth's life or seth as a person. What made Seth hate his kids or his kids not be there for him. He did cut them out of 20 million. Letty was only 47! He described her as this old lady. Over and over the trial from A Time to Kill was mentioned. But for no good reason. If you are going to listen to this anyway, listen to the Abridged version.
Cut the book down. Stop repeating himself. They must have read that handwritten will over and over.
If the book is interesting, yes.
Letty's husband. That was a useless side story.
This book is boring. And the big climax was not so climatic.
Wow there is so much to love. This man out did himself with this top notch writing. I think I loved learning about each of the characters more in depth the most. Jr, Chippy, Sasha, watching LC get on Paris for being immature.
Spoiler alert: when Vegas got out of jail. What what!!!!
Sasha she was awesome.
I was sad when it was over. Can't wait for To Paris With Love and Family business 3. This book and performances were amazing.
Pretty Good but...
I really liked the overall story and the lives of all the tenants. I liked each character and all their stories. I loved how they were all connected some how.
I loved the narrator of Connie the most. She was passionate and I really felt like she gave the best performance.
How much do you really know about your neighbors?
I really enjoyed this book overall. I liked all the narrators except Krystal. I hated the narrator of Krystal. She didn't know how to perform or use the appropriate emotion for the situation. She read all her parts in the same peppy happy voice. It just didn't fit. I didn't like the ending. I felt it was too Lifetime movie ending. I think he even says that in the book. I wish there was a different ending. But overall it was worth listening to.
It was fast pasted and got to the point. I loved how creepy it was.
When the girl woke up out of her daze from having the baby and her brother was chewing on her baby's leg. And she thought it was a doll leg.
The little boy
The short story is twisted. I loved it.
It gets long winded at times. I wish I would have listened to the abridged version.
Most interesting was thinking that Dee was sick and Pasquale was there trying to help her. And the thought of watching a blossoming friendship. I though this was going to be about a dying woman away in Italy for her final days. Least interesting was that Dee was not sick at all and that they lied to her about having cancer to fire her from the movie. How can you confuse pregnancy and cancer? Even in the 1960s? I was done after that.
At the end when. Dee and Pasquale reunited.
No! It's not that good.
This book is filled with a lot of stories about Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. I don't know if this information about them is true or not but it totally takes over the book at one point. The son Dee has was a screw up but really didn't have much to do with the overall story. His life and background could have been left out. Overall this book started off good and ended up boring and bad.
I hated the narrators voice and his performance. I found myself rewinding and rewinding. I would tell who he was supposed to be. Is this the mother talking? Is that the father? Bad bad bad performance.
Lord yes! I have recommend it to a few people already. This book is sick and twisted in a good way.
When Amy revealed what was really going on. I remember yelling at my desk at work, "WHAT?!?!?! NO WAY. IS SHE SERIOUS????"
Kirby Heyborne's voice is kinda monotone at first. I didn't feel like his voice fit how they described him. When the book picks up so does he. Julia Whelen never disappoints. She was amazing!
Honestly no. I almost stopped listening to it because the first part is soooo slow. It didn't pick up until about chapter 8 of the first half. You have to pay attention to this part because it connects to the next portion of the book. When I got to the second half I wanted to listen to it in one straight shot.
I loved this book. I couldn't believe the ending. I was a little disappointed in how it ended. Amy was a mess and won basically. I thought the book as a whole was great. It should be made into a movie. I found myself going "I can't believe Amy" for a few days after it was over.
How many times they said her name "Genevieve." Good Lord, ok I get it, it's French. I feel like we couldn't go 2 lines without her name being said and them telling us how to say it right. Goodness. I understand the book was about her but we didn't find out who she was until the very end of the book. It was more about her nameless husband and his selfishness.
He could have revealed more about who she was throughout the book. I liked the bomb he dropped at the end but we should have heard more of what Genevieve went through. Her transformation from Lakeshia to Genevieve. More about what her grandmother did to her. What stuff did she put in her? More about what happened when she ran away. What happened when she saw her father murder her mother? The whole book was about her husband complaining about her and his thirst for sex.
Overall, not his best. The story had potential but got drowned out by her freaky husband.
I really really liked this book. I loved the story and hope it becomes a movie on lifetime or something. But at times it was repetitive. I think the fact that she has a very high IQ was drilled and drilled over and over.
The narrator was amazing. I loved all the voices she did. Wow!
Worth the money.
