What did you like best about Rain Storm? What did you like least?

I labored to finish listing to this book waiting for the excitement! I expected more! There were a FEW parts that might have been more exciting but the Narrator did NOT seem to have the level of excitement in his voice to suck you into this one. For ME it felt more like I was on a Tourist Tour of the Cities the Main Character visited, very descriptive, was nice IF I were on that Tour Bus. The Author also gave a lot of description of other minial things like the clothes the Main Character bought. At least this is what it did for me, perhaps others would find it more enjoyable to listen too, I don't know...What do I know I am a Novice listener I can only speak for myself.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Include more excitement and action to the storyline! Perhaps with a different Narrator I MIGHT have enjoyed it better who know??

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Seemed too monotone for me (did not seem that he had the level of excitement in his voice) maybe that is WHY I did NOT enjoy listening to it.

Could you see Rain Storm being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Perhaps...I can not really comment on this questions since I did NOT enjoy it!

  • I'd Like to Apologize to Every Teacher I Ever Had: My Year as a Rookie Teacher at Northeast High

Long before he starred on some of television’s most beloved and long-running series such as Taxi and Who’s the Boss? and went on to distinguish himself in a variety of film and stage roles, Tony Danza was a walking contradiction: an indifferent student who dreamed of being a teacher. Inspiring a classroom of students was an aspiration he put aside for decades until one day it seemed that the most meaningful thing he could do was give his dream a shot. What followed was a year spent teaching 10th-grade English at Northeast High - Philadelphia’s largest high school with 3,600 students....

Would you listen to I'd Like to Apologize to Every Teacher I Ever Had again? Why?

ABSOLUTELY! It was an excellent story

What did you like best about this story?

The challenges that Tony Danza took on as a Teacher and pointing out how education is lacking in our society. He makes you see how we have all failed in paying attention to our studies and how some Teachers were lacking in teaching therir students. But he points out how hard of a job it is to be a Teacher. You have to be a parent, teacher, counselor and more to some of your students which is a hard job having to wear many hats.

Which character – as performed by Tony Danza – was your favorite?

    ALL OF THEM!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me do both laugh and cry it was written and narrated by Tony Danza and tried to make his time at that school to count for him and the students. I think he learned a lot by taken on a Teachers job and found that is hard and many of our Teachers are faced with many challenges. He reflect back on when he was a student and this is WHY he writes this book! Guess we all feel the same way as he did about wanting to apologize to all of his Teachers.

    Any additional comments?

I Enjoyed it so much that I plan on reading it again!

This charming, funny, light-hearted 1938 novel was a bestseller on its first appearance. Read by Academy Award winning actress Frances McDormand, who stars in the 2008 film as Miss Pettigrew.

Liam Mulligan is as old school as a newspaper man gets. His beat is Providence, Rhode Island, and he knows every street and alley. He knows the priests and prostitutes, the cops and street thugs. He knows the mobsters and politicians--who are pretty much one and the same. Someone is systematically burning down the neighborhood Mulligan grew up in, people he knows and loves are perishing in the flames, and the public is on the verge of panic.

Would you try another book from Bruce DeSilva and/or Jeff Woodman and Bruce DeSilva (Introduction) ?

    NOT sure.

Would you be willing to try another book from Bruce DeSilva? Why or why not?

NOT sure, this book was not the kind of books I enjoy. It was to me like an old Dick Tracy storyline and just moved too slowly for me, I had to download it again before writing a review because I did NOT remember what it was about that is how interesting it was for...however this only my opinion, I am sure that someone else would probably write a GLOWING REVIEW opposed to what I have written, if this is the kind of book they enjoy.

What about Jeff Woodman and Bruce DeSilva (Introduction) ’s performance did you like?

I have to say that IF it were NOT for the Narrator who did a great job it would have been a total bust for me....LOL Kudos to him...

Was Rogue Island worth the listening time?

    NOT FOR ME!

Where does Jacob rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I LOVED IT! I did NOT want it to end. There were so many emotions in the story that it just HELD my attention and for a NOVICE READER that is saying a lot. But my taste may differ from many other readers; but for me IF it does NOT grab me at the beginning it is very hard for me to get through it.I did NOT want to STOP LISTENING to this, there was thrills, fears, fantasy, erotic romances and lots more. When I did finish I was sad but came back here to see IF there were any more books by this Author....WOW I found BOOK 2 and immediately got it and read that all the way through as fast as the first.

What did you like best about this story?

    Everything!

What about Xe Sands’s performance did you like?

ABSOLUTELY an awesome Narrator, she pulled you into to the story as IF you were actually there and experiencing all that was going on!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes the erotic romance between fanasy and human, AWESOME! Sent chills all over my body!
