Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Would you listen to The Way of Kings again? Why?

Yes, I've listened to this book - 5 times! Each time, I am just as captivated as I was on my first hearing.Cannot wait for the next book in the series, hopefully with (Kate Reading and Michael Kramer) as narrators. BTW - I've bought the hardback and have enjoyed reading of the book just as much.

What other book might you compare The Way of Kings to and why?

Other books to compare? None that comes to mind. If there are others this enjoyable, let me know. A book that crosses gender enjoyment.

Which character – as performed by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer – was your favorite?

Michael Kramer: Kaladin & Szeth-son-son-Vallano and (let us not forget Wit) Kate Reading: Navani Kholin & Shallan As an audio book - Kate Reading and Michael Kramer take this book to the next level.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Storm-Bless! See The Storm, Feel The Storm... Live The Storm!!!

    Any additional comments?

Hmm... 45 hrs and 37 mins... Really?
You would be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable 45 hours. ;-)

An accident leads to the discovery of a mysterious machine that has rested hidden deep underground for countless millennia. The machine awakens to begin issuing a series of increasingly alarming, if minor, omens. The omens turn out to be astonishingly accurate, and ever more ominous. As Zedd tries to figure out how to destroy the sinister device, the machine issues a cataclysmic omen involving Richard and Kahlan, foretelling an impending event beyond anyone’s ability to stop. As catastrophe approaches, the machine then reveals that it is within its power to withdraw the omen....

Do not get your hopes up too high on this one...
Being that I read / listened all the books in the series and have come to realize there are some books that are "fillers" until a good story line is written. Well this is such a book. A Filler.

It's not bad, it's worth a credit but not to buy "unless" you are a true Terry Goodkind fan and wish to add this to your collection. I myself fall into this category.

If you are not a fan, start with the first book in the series. You will not be disappointed. If you start with this book, it may leave you scratching your head and asking what's all the fuss about.

For those "TG" fans, this is a good book to listen to while on a plane, bus or ready to go to bed. It's starts off slow, picks up a tad, slows back down, picks up near the end and will leave you wondering... Is that it?

As women everywhere will attest, when it comes to understanding female sexuality, most guys know more about what's under the hood of a car than under the hood of a clitoris. And while it seems that men have struggled valiantly since the dawn of time to find ways to reliably elicit the female orgasm, rare is the guy who has the modesty to ask: "What do I do?" Ironically, the answer has always been right there on the tip of his tongue.

    Hi all,
I must admit was a little hesitant on reading / listening to this book.
Like most men (at least I like to think anyway), we want and enjoy pleasing our woman (for some of you women). And if there is a technique other than trial and error that would guide us, I'm willing to listen.

    That being said...
The book starts off Ok to slow then it moves to the juicy parts.

General in some areas, while the medical terms of the female anatomy were interesting (still cannot recall the names (smiling)) I was more interested in the meat of the subject (excuse the pun).

Finally, we got there... Some of the information I knew but there was quite a bit I did not know and recalling conversations in the past with some of the boys they didn't know either.

If you know you're good now, this book will make you a Force!
It's worth the buy for anyone who wants to make sure his/ her lady comes first.... Period!
    In short...
After practicing /executing some of the techniques mentioned, you and your partner will not be disappointed. ;-)

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

    Overall

What A Day, If Day 2 is anything like Day 1… Then Hold On!

First, I must admit I was little hesitant to write a review concerning this book called “The Name of the Wind: Kingkiller Chronicles, Day 1”.

But after reading a number of reviews on any number of books and being burnt on more than just a few, it was refreshing to listen to a book that was somewhat accurate to most of its reviews.
In a word, this book is - Entertaining!

Grant you, it starts off a little slow but makes up for it later.
The characters in the book complement Cvothe extremely well and they are believable.

The story of a boy coming into his own is a common theme, but rarely is it told in a way that most can relate to and look back fondly on.
If you are looking for something entertaining to listening to, then add this one to the list.

I likened it to a good chess game that you do not wish for it to end… At least not just yet…

    "Jim Butcher Does It Again!"
    Overall

Jim Butcher has does it again!
First, I must say that I am relativity new (about 8 months) and have read / listen to all of Jim Butcher's books.

Second, if you have not read any of the Dresden Files...
Then start with the first one, as with many series books the foundation is laid early.

Third, if you're a religious person then you may take issue with a few things. Just remember like most good books a little bit a truth mixed in with fiction often provides for good entertainment.

In short, this is a Great series of books and the narrator is Awesome throughout the series.
Why? If you've listen to a number of audio books that are series based that have different narrators - It often detracts from the enjoyment.
Simply put James Masters is Humorous and Believable throughout the series.

    Series is Highly Recommended!!!
