There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

What could Peter Clines have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

he lost me with his fantasy evil

Did Ray Porter do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

character development was best part of book--sadly his ending was predictable

Do you think 14 needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

absolutely not---I finished it ------sorry I did

    Any additional comments?

I am being charitable to give him a 2 checker--mostly because his development of characters ------was ok but predictable

When attorney Ben Kincaid came to Washington, D.C., to defend a senator caught in a murder case, he never dreamed he'd end up a senator himself. After his client stepped down, Ben was appointed to complete his term. Now he must advise a Supreme Court nominee during his confirmation. The judge looks like a shoo-in, until he outs himself on national TV. Ben calls a press conference for the now controversial candidate. And then, on live TV, a brutally murdered woman is discovered in the judge's backyard.

What disappointed you about Capitol Threat?

interesting topic but too much forecasting, unnecessary issues degenerate into predictable conclusion. Author was trying too hard

Has Capitol Threat turned you off from other books in this genre?

no, I explore all writers efforts, and appreciate their efforts to produce a good read.

What about Stephen Hoye’s performance did you like?

His ability to project the different characters.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Capitol Threat?

How about an ordinary person who happens to be gay, and deal with the congressional attitudes, and perhaps their constituents responses
