Commander Sam Vimes of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch will be damned if he lets anyone disturb his city's always tentative peace, and that includes a rabble-rousing dwarf from the sticks who's been stirring up trouble on the eve of the anniversary of one of Discworld's most infamous historical events.

Where does Thud! rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love all Terry Pratchett books

What did you like best about this story?

I had listened to snuff and really liked that. This is the a prior book in the series and I have grown to love the Characters.

What about Stephen Briggs’s performance did you like?

He is amazing. I, unlike others who review narrators, like the multiple voice/Multiple character style. The books are very humorous and so is the performance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Not really. It's very funny.

Tiffany Aching has spent years studying with senior witches, and now she is on her own. As the witch of the Chalk, she performs the bits of witchcraft that aren't sparkly, aren't fun, don't involve any kind of wand, and that people seldom ever hear about: She does the unglamorous work of caring for the needy. But someone - or something - is igniting fear, inculcating dark thoughts and angry murmurs against witches.

In the 25th century, humankind has spread throughout the galaxy, monitored by the watchful eye of the U.N. While divisions in race, religion, and class still exist, advances in technology have redefined life itself. Now, assuming one can afford the expensive procedure, a person's consciousness can be stored in a cortical stack at the base of the brain and easily downloaded into a new body (or "sleeve") making death nothing more than a minor blip on a screen.

    "Loved it!"
    Overall

This was fast paced with lots of twists and turns. No heavy stuff, pure action.

As opposing forces maneuver for the final titanic showdown, an army of barbaric wildlings arrives from the outermost line of civilization. In their vanguard is a horde of mythical Others, a supernatural army of the living dead whose animated corpses are unstoppable. As the future of the land hangs in the balance, no one will rest until the Seven Kingdoms have exploded in a veritable storm of swords.

The review "O.K." pretty much sums it up. The story dragged horribly. The characters were very interesting but it seems that the are all destined to experience the most tragic of events. This is not a story to read if you like heroes that live.
