Russell Bricklin "Bric" Whal is the guy that every Key West local knows and every tourist wants to be. Relaxed, tanned by island sun and comfortable in his skin, he slides onto a barstool next to you at Schooner Wharf and lets you buy him a beer. Ex-Navy Seal, Key West native and full time treasure diver, Bric has been searching for a fortune in gold and silver in the Florida Keys his whole life. Today he may have found it, but not the treasure he expected.

The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist William Tuohy follows Richard O'Kane, America's undersea ace of aces, and a few fearless submariners, during the U.S. submarine war in the Pacific. This grueling battle saw 10 million tons of Japanese shipping sunk by U.S. submarines, but the cost to the U.S. Navy was one in five of its boats, the highest casualty rate of the U.S. armed services.

I found the title and the content to be different. I was less than happy to learn that the only way to move forward is with serious counseling, and tons of that. I expected to read about ways to move forward, not an ad for a shrink.

At 5:12 a.m. on the morning of April 18, 1906, San Francisco was struck by one of the worst earthquakes in history, instantly killing hundreds. This watershed event in American history has never before been told with the richness of historical detail and insight that our foremost historian of fire, Dennis Smith, brings to it in San Francisco Is Burning. Smith cinematically recounts this terrible tragedy through the stories of the people who lived through those terrible days...

  • Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy

Polls reveal that 85 percent of Americans believe there was a conspiracy behind Lee Harvey Oswald. Some even believe Oswald was entirely innocent. In this encyclopedic, absorbing audiobook, Vincent Bugliosi shows how the public has come to believe such lies about the day that changed the course of history. Bugliosi has devoted almost 20 years of his life to this project, and is determined to show that, despite the overwhelming popular perception, Oswald killed Kennedy and acted alone.

Lawrence D. Clayton says: "On an equal footing with Helter Skelter"
"I was convinced Kennedy was shot by more than 1."
    Overall

I have gone as far as visiting the Dallas site of the shooting. I thought I was well informed. But a year or so ago I saw a special on one of the science chanels that stated the seat for the gov was not directly in front of Kennedy as I was lead to believe from all the conspircy theories. A simple view of the limo at Parkland would show that to be a huge error! I then had doubts about a conspircy. After this read, I am firmly convinced that Oswald was the shooter and that the Warren report was very well done.

New Guinea became the site of one of the World War II's most savage campaigns. Despite their lack of jungle training, the 32nd Division's Ghost Mountain Boys were assigned the most grueling mission of the entire Pacific campaign: to march 130 miles over rugged mountains and to protect the right flank of the Australian army as they fought to push the Japanese back to the village of Buna.
