Where does Lord of Darkness rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book ranks in the middle of the pack as far as a favorite. As far as a series, it ranks in the top 10.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really enjoyed Megs. I felt for her heart ache and her loss. Although, there were a few times I wanted to shake her and tell her "snap out of it".

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I love Ashford McNabb, so I was sad to see that it was a new narrator. It took a bit for me to get used to the new narrator. I'm willing to be open minded and give the narrator another try. Change is not easy, especially when you get used to a certain character's voice. This situation reminds me of the Dark Hunter series. When I started listening to the series, I loved the narrator, Fred Berman. Then they switched to Holter Graham, who is wonderful as well, but it took me a bit to get used to Holter. I'm hopeful, that with time and some feedback, the narrator will improve her interpretation of the character's voices (especially the male voices).

Many consider this rich social commentary to be Jane Austen's finest novel. It is certainly among her more famous ones. Austen sets her entertaining study of manners and misconceptions against the backdrop of a class-conscious society in 18th-century England.

Where does Pride and Prejudice rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Bottom of the bottom. Will not listen to it again. Will try to find another version with a different reader.

What other book might you compare Pride and Prejudice to and why?

can't think of one. this was my first classic romance

What didn’t you like about Flo Gibson’s performance?

her gruff voice was very difficult to listen to. I could tell male vs. female voices, but that's about it. Even her 'soft spoken' voice was not right. I was hoping to be able to hear how young these characters were and i just couldn't.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES. Boy was i disappointed. I think i bought it as a daily deal, otherwise, i would return it.

Just as Jane Jameson’s unlife seems to be stabilizing, fate sinks its fangs firmly into her butt. Despite her near-phobia of wedding planning, her no-frills nighttime nuptials to her sexy boyfriend, Gabriel, are coming along smoothly. That is, until she turns a fatally wounded teenage acquaintance, and the Council pronounces her responsible for the newborn vamp until he can control his thirst.

What made the experience of listening to Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors the most enjoyable?

I love the story of this plain 'Jane', who is now a vampire and has to deal with the every day stuff that we all have to deal with. Jane has to figure out a way to manage her difficult relatives, meddling friends, demanding boyfriends, and stay out of trouble.

What other book might you compare Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors to and why?

Nice Girls reminds me a bit of the Queen Betsy series. Someone who was turned, not by choice, and now has to figure out a way to deal with her family and her "live" friends.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the scenes when she talks with her aunt. Also, those scenes when she is having to deal with the grandma are classic!! That lady is a trip.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were a few parts that made me laugh. When it comes to Jane and Gabriel, expect that something hilarious is bound to happen.

    Any additional comments?

I truly enjoy this series as well the "Naked Werewolf" and "Half-Moon Hollow" series by Molly.
