This book is one of the best books I've listened to thus far. The Narrator really has a feel for the text, putting appropriate inflection were it helps a slightly dry text to flow and keep ones interest in a book that could prove to be boring to a reader that doesn't love the works of Luther as I do.
Well worth the two plus hours to listen to.
This is one of my favorite Movies. And the book is the best. It really gets you deeper into the story. You really feel like it is a true story, and want to go meet the Geisha, and go see the places she has been.
The Narrator is Really good. She has a great command of her voice and makes you see the story unfolding, you lose yourself in the story not in the Narrator.
Very Great book. The Author did a masterful job on this one. This book should be on every ones reading list who really want to be strong, deep, heartfelt Christians. I plan to listen to it over and over.
This is one of the best narrators ever. He has a great control of his voice and can make you really feel like you are in the middle of the book, not just listening to it.
NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART OR FAITH. This book is very good. Very strong and forceful. There is even a warning in the beginning that it may offend some who are easily offended by in your face preaching.
Very good Narrator and message.
This is a wonderful story. If you ever wondered what happened to the Roman soldiers after they Crucified Jesus, This story will give you something to think about. And the Narrator was great, his change in voice for the different charactors and his accent was very compelling.
I would very much recommend this book to anyone who wants to imagine what the Roman Soldiers went through that Crucified Jesus. Or just wants a really exciting listen.
This is one of the best books I have listened to so far.
Not only is the story of this great Christian one to capture the heart and mind but it is very well done and the narrator Simon Vance is wonderful to listen to. I only wish he did more books.
Great story with a great narrator. I would surly recommend this to anyone who wants to know more and deepen there knowledge and Faith.
This book is very deep in its Theological info and very good and informative but this Narrator is not the right person for the job. He has a strong voice and a good variety of intonations but he is trying too hard to use all his talents of speech and not enough attention to the content of the book. He makes it very hard to catch all the very deep detail of the work with his changing of voice and volume. Also there is some sort of background noise like people talking and outside noises, which are very irritating.
This is truly an interesting book, nothing like I expected. It is well narrated and easy to listen to, and understand. The Narrator has the perfect voice for this book. I also own the book but have never had the chance to read it. so I sometimes read along with the narration but it was more interesting to just listen. This book is similar to "Hinds feet in high places," Which I also really liked in writing and will soon be downloading to listen to.
Great book I will be listening to it again, and again.
