Tommy and his sister Annika have a new neighbor, and her name is Pippi Longstocking. She has crazy red pigtails, no parents to tell her what to do, a horse that lives on the porch and a pet monkey named Mr. Nilsson. Whether Pippi's scrubbing her floors, doing arithmetic or stirring things up at a fancy tea party, her flair for the outrageous always seems to lead to another adventure.

    Story

Known for her bright red pigtails and her super human strenth, Pippi Longstocking is a beloved classic book enjoyed by children and adults alike. You won't believe what she does in her adventures

I especially liked the way Esther Benson narrated the story with giggles,. coughing, and other things used in the dialogue. The Listening Library version of Pippi Longstocking is a must-have for literature lovers.

Join John Henry, an African-American hero born with a hammer inhis hand, on a scenic journey from cotton country to the wilderness. He finds men of all color working together to build a great railroad. John Henry quickly becomes king of the railroad camps by driving more steel than any man alive, and in an exciting contest even out-performs a steam drill.

The story of John Henry sure took quite a pounding! Who would have thought that the US railroad system was built by a natural man like John Henry. Also in this story, you'll hear about how he raced against the steam drill.

To top it off, you get to hear legendary blues singer BB King sing in this story. Denzel Washington was quite a narrator for this tale. You just gotta listen to the beat of this story, if you know what I'm sayin'.

"As soon as Fred gets out of bed, his underwear goes on his head. His mother laughs, 'Don't put it there, a head's no place for underwear!' But near his ears, above his brains, is where Fred's underwear remains."

This is one of the first Jack Prelutsky recordings I have ever heard during my schooling days as a kid. This audio title contains 24 poems taken from Prelutsky's 1990 book of poems. One of my favorites is "My Brother Built a Robot".

"Something Big Has Been Here" is a favorite title to share with Prelutsky fans and poetry lovers everywhere. It's highly recommended! What more needs to be said?
