When Dr. Craig Bowman is served with a summons for medical malpractice, he's shocked, enraged, and more than a little humiliated. A devoted physician who works continuously in the service of others, he endured grueling years of training and is now a partner in an exclusive concierge medical practice. No longer forced to see more and more patients while spending less and less time with each one just to keep his office door open, he now provides the kind of medical care he is trained to do.

    "quite surprising"
    Overall

after reading somewhat negative reviews of this book, i worried about my choice, as my audible choices spend many miles entertaining me on my time on the highway. Sometimes you have to have a little faith in your favorite authors, this story had it all, suspense, comedy, unpredictable moments, it was most wonderful. I don't want to spoil the experience for you, but you won't regret the time you spend with CRISIS!!! If you've read Robin Cook, you won't be disappointed and you'll meet some old friends!!

Definitely throws you back to the days of early man(men) - their trials, their first encounter with domesticating animals - quite a journey! Of the series this is a favorite - I did listen double speed as I was anxious to see where the main characters were going - :)

The Monterey Peninsula is rocked when a killer begins to leave roadside crosses beside local highways -- not in memoriam, but as announcements of his intention to kill. And to kill in particularly horrific and efficient ways: using the personal details about the victims that they've carelessly posted in blogs and on social networking websites.

    B. Riddick says: "Okay....but not 20 hours and not Deaver's best"
    "good listening choice"

Daniel Hecht has created a plausible, heart-stopping ghost thriller. Relying on the science of parapsychology to spine-tingling effect, he brings to life a remarkably compelling character in Cree Black, as well as the ghosts she confronts.

In this riveting novel of almost unbearable suspense, three fragile yet determined people become dangerously entangled in a relentlessly escalating crisis. Colonel Behrani, once a wealthy man in Iran, is now a struggling immigrant willing to bet everything he has to restore his family's dignity. Kathy Nicolo is a troubled young woman whose house is all she has left, and who refuses to let her hard-won stability slip away from her. Sheriff Lester Burdon becomes obsessed with helping her fight for justice.

    JOHN says: "Tremendous!"
"would have liked a different ending"
    Overall

fantastic until the 'climax' - very well written, characters extremely well developed, a story that could be true - the police man who hates bully's as a child but becomes the worst bully as an adult - Kathy, who's family expects little from from her and are not disappointed, the refugees that try so hard for second chance at a life - well i must not spoil the plot for you. I was hoping for a different ending - but I still watch Old Yeller and hope Yeller doesn't get rabies from the wolf!!!

In the Nevada desert, an experiment has gone horribly wrong. A cloud of nanoparticles (micro-robots) has escaped from the laboratory. This cloud is self-sustaining and self-reproducing. It is intelligent and learns from experience. For all practical purposes, it is alive.
