I listened in one sitting because this audiobook is so engrossing and engaging! I traveled the desert and became the elements described. Philosophy, faith, romance, travel, and danger... Great listen!!
This book went above and beyond anything I was expecting! Hang onto your hats for the twists! I enjoyed immensely.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Lots of action with the tiny possibility of some romance.
Narrators are definitely on point and are two of my favorites. Can't wait for another John Puller book!
It had a slow start, but once it got going, I couldn't put it down. I'm hoping to find the stories about the remainder of the sisters, as this book only delved into the complete story of the eldest. Though fictional, it makes you question who you are and who do you want to be.
Great story and descriptiveness of minor details, but would've preferred a little less detailed description of the war armaments. The ending was indeed a surprise. Narration was excellent.
I enjoyed the different characterizations.
"The Husband's Secret" because it is also family oriented with the good and the bad.
Fleshed out characters
I found it interesting, but wasn't gripped enough to listen to it all at once.
Absolutely. It gives great insight on the life of Blacks in America and introduced us to characteristics and the lives of some non-American blacks in the form of a fictional novel, but with actual truth. And in the end, it is also a love story.
When the protagonist and her true love reunited.
This is my first time, but will certainly look for her on other audiobooks.
Americanah is the perfect title.
This was another audiobook that I sailed through because it is so interesting.
The fleshed out characters
Yes; and this performance was just as good as the others.
It made me want to go after the bad guy, myself!
I listened to this audiobook in record time because I couldn't put it down. Thank goodness for the Audible app on my iPhone.
The plot and narrator
Vividness of scene
Comoran showing his vulnerability
Looking forward to more great stories and great narration
Jane Fallon entered my life with "The Ugly Sister", another excellent story, and I enjoyed this story even more. Plumbing female emotions and lending the sometimes comedic twists of life is a strength that Ms. Fallon demonstrates well I'm her writing. Of course, I wanted to strangle Matthew who was a legend in his own mind. My only quibble was the voice the narrator employed for Matthew -- it sounded implausible.
