Amy and Elder have finally left the oppressive walls of the spaceship Godspeed behind. They're ready to start life afresh - to build a home - on Centauri-Earth, the planet that Amy has traveled 25 trillion miles across the universe to experience. But this new Earth isn't the paradise that Amy had been hoping for. Amy and Elder must race to uncover who - or what - else is out there if they are to have any hope of saving their struggling colony and building a future together. But as each new discovery brings more danger, Amy and Elder will have to look inward to the very fabric of what makes them human on this, their most harrowing journey yet.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

    Completely rewrite this book.

Has Shades of Earth turned you off from other books in this genre?

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. This book however, was just plain depressing. There was no justice for the for the murders or any real resolution at the end. Although it does not have a completely sad ending its sad enough. I doubt Beth Revis will write another book to settle all accounts since this ended in such a mess, but I would like to read it.

What about Tara Carrozza’s performance did you like?

Both narrators did an excellent job performing.

What character would you cut from Shades of Earth?

    Gee, there's so many

    Any additional comments?

Only get this if you want to be depressed.

For former Special Forces officer Cole Bennett, there's no room for error or emotions on his latest, all-too-personal mission. Hiding his identity and getting much too close to artist Skylar Pope is the only way to get some long-overdue justice. But keeping his simmering desire under control is one battle Cole would give anything to lose. Suddenly Skylar discovers everything she believes in is a lie. And if finding the truth means confronting her family's and Cole's most wrenching secrets, she'll go as far as she has to.

What made the experience of listening to Soldier's Redemption the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the unfolding love story wrapped in a bit of mystery.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Soldier's Redemption?

The tender moments after Skylers rescue from certain freezing death.

Have you listened to any of Erin Clark’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not this is the first book of hers i've listened to. However, after listening to this book I would certainly purchase more.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was a bit slow at the beginning but once it got going (after some plot and character development) It drew me in.

    Any additional comments?

At first I couldn't see the chemistry between the two main characters but as more layers of depth were revealed I began to see how right they were for each other.

Stephanie Harrington had always expected to be a forest ranger on her homeworld of Meyerdahl until her parents relocated to the frontier planet of Sphinx in the far distant Star Kingdom of Manticore. It should have been the perfect new home - a virgin wilderness full of new species of every sort, just waiting to be discovered. But Sphinx is a far more dangerous place than ultra-civilized Meyerdahl, and Stephanie's explorations come to a sudden halt when her parents lay down the law: no trips into the bush without adult supervision!

If you could sum up A Beautiful Friendship in three words, what would they be?

    Discovery, struggle, adventure

Who was your favorite character and why?

Stefanie Harrington of coarse! A deep well rounded character.

Which character – as performed by Khristine Hvam – was your favorite?

Khristine Hvam did an excellent job doing all the characters. She is certainly becoming one of my favorite narrators.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Sure if only I had that much time.

    Any additional comments?

I hope this "pre Honor Harrington" series can continue to flourish. I have listened to this book and the next book Fire Season. Thus far I have thoroughly enjoyed them both.

Inarrii agent Alinna Gaerrii was tasked with observing the Starforce base on Earth. Crash landing her observation pod onto the base was not part of her mission briefing. Neither was making m'ittar--mind contact--with Major David Brown, the human who discovered her amongst the wreckage.

If you could sum up Alien Revealed in three words, what would they be?

    Si-Fi Adventure with Sex

Who was your favorite character and why?

Alinna of coarse. A very senual character

    Which scene was your favorite?

When David made his decision at the end with what to do with their relationship.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Well its only 4 hrs long but i generaly are not able to listen for that long at a time.

    Any additional comments?

This is book 1 in the series
    2) The Naked Truth
    3) Undercover Alliance

There is enough adventure and story to balence out the sexy action senes.
I really hope Lilly Cain continues writting this series as books 2 and 3 only get better taking the storyline deeper all the while developing the relationships between the Inarri and the humans. This is one alien race one could only hope to be abducted by!
