"Kept me exercising"
I used my audiobooks as a way to lure me into exercising. Not allowed to listen unless I am doing something productive. This book was worth it. I kept needing to go back to it and was satisfied with the ending.
"tedious"
Oy, this is one of those books where about half way through it is filled with so many details and descriptions, you know it is one of those 'add the words' exercises.
Unsatisfying ending. Can't believe I didn't bail before it ended.
"A refreshing change"
yes, its a youth book, but quite interesting
This book capitivated me with its rich characters, balanced descriptives and moving plot line.
Good listening...even for an adult who usually does the murder mysteries.
Well narrated. I'm off to get the next two in the series.
"Can't wait for her next novel"
I enjoyed the plot. It had colourful characters, good descriptives without boring me with fillers, and a satisfying ending.
"Fun and easy listen"
cute anecdotes and easy to listen to while I did other things.
Great download for a day of housework
"Couldn't get into it"
I just couldn't follow the story with this narrator. Too fast? Ended up going to another book on my player after 2 chapters.
"Rehash and confusion"
This story is a rehash and descriptive narrative until the last 30 minutes where all of a sudden a mystery is created, solved and we were supposed to have cheered.
I found myself checking the timing to see when it would end and I would be taken out of my misery.
Cornwell was on a deadline to meet a contract for this one.
Big thumbs down.
"Short but fun"
Quick, witty, a great distraction for a long walk.
"AUG! Enough already"
I am amazed that I had the patience to finish the book...maybe just not the opportunity to go grab a different one for my player.
The heroine is not likable and the hero simply not worth winning. There was a point where I just wanted it over with.
"Okay but not memorable"
A good solid 'read' with well developed characters that transported me into a time of enormous change around the world. I did look forward to turning it on, but then when it was all done, I didn't regret that there was no more.
